Friendly Competition

April 1st 2016
To Kate and Alex April fools day was a competition of who could play the best pranks. They took this holiday very seriously and this year was no exception. Kate had the best pranks last year
so this meant Alex had to step up his game.

They always met up in either of their houses early on in the day to make pranking easier. And Alex decided to go even more early and see if Eleanor would let him in. Luckily she did.

Alex decided to do multiple smaller pranks instead of a big one. His first prank of the day was that he was going to put Saran (plastic) wrap on the doorway of Kate's bedroom before she woke up so she'd be more likely to walk into it.

At 8:30 am Kate woke up and started to walk downstairs for breakfast but she ran into something on her way out that stuck to her face.

"Alex! It's way too early for this!" She shouted downstairs hoping he was still there and could hear her.

While she was getting ready for the day, Kate started scheming, thinking of ideas of pranks she could pull on Alex. She was in the middle of getting dressed when she thought of her best prank yet. It was a big prank that would require a bit of effort and a few supplies she needed to find. It would also be good payback for Fourth of July last year (she kind of forgot about that until today and never got her revenge)

Alex's next prank was another simple one, he put  broccoli in a donut box and left it on the counter for her breakfast.

"Kate there's donuts on the counter by the sink."

Kate went over and saw the box. When she saw the broccoli she was disgusted.

"Alex! Why!?"

"What?"

Kate went over and smacked him with the donut box.

"Ouch! I guess I did kind of deserve it."

"You did! You know how much I love donuts."

"I'll get you one later, ok?"

"You better."

That afternoon Kate got the supplies she needed for her big prank. Because Kate hadn't done anything yet he got worried but continued to do his own pranks. His next prank was a bit better than the others he was going to give her chocolates he made last night that he put sriracha sauce in. This time he wasn't going to say anything (and he bought Kate a donut for afterwards to make her feel better.)

He left the chocolates on a plate in the kitchen, hoping she would find one. When she did, she took one, because who can resist chocolate?, and when she bit into it she shouted at Alex when she got a shock of spice.

After she had some milk to calm down her tasted buds Alex gave her 2 donuts. (He gave her his too because he felt bad.) Then Kate got a bucket of water and another bucket she brought to the pantry to put flour in.

She suspended the water bucket above the kitchen door so when Alex opened it the bucket would fall. She told her mom not to come in and then she stood near the door and called Alex saying she needed something. Because he is a nice friend he came as quickly as he could and the water splashed all over him. Then Kate went in front of him and threw flour in his face. The combination of flour and water made Alex very sticky.

"Oh, Bishop you really out did yourself didn't you." Alex was annoyed but he couldn't deny he was proud.

"That's payback for the punch!"

"I think water and four all over me is a bit different than punch on your t-shirt."

"Whatever it was fun and you don't seem that mad do you?"

"I'm not happy about it but since it's you I don't mind as much."

"Yeah whatever you say." Kate smiled.

"Wait. How come you are only getting payback now? Fourth of July was months ago."

"I forgot." Kate looked down.

"See, that shows it wasn't that big of a deal."

"Fair enough, I suppose."

Alex then went and gave her a messy hug. He then looked down at her (he was quite a bit taller than her) and smiled cheekily at her.

"Do I win again?"

"Yeah, you do." Alex sighed and gave her another hug.
