Lighthawk was originally a human named Cykladad (Cy). Born to a well off family that lived on Earth.
He had a mother, father, and two older sisters.
Cy's father worked for scientists helping Clovis Bray manufactory Exos. 
Exo's are humans who've had their minds put in robotic bodies.

At the time, he lived a relatively normal life for a 9 year old.
Cy attended school, however, unseen stresses plagued his father.
Going with his father to their workplace to "help" his dad, these visits would start to slow. 
Until, Cy was out playing by himself in the woods by his house.
Pretending to built a robot out of rocks and sticks. Proud of his work, he wanted to show his father. So he ran to his fathers workplace. 


Excited at first, Cy entered his fathers lab, finding it a mess. Confused, he was shocked to see his father slumped against a wall. A stranger over them. Cy's fear and confusion drove him to run away.

Years of inhumane testing made Cy's father take the risk to collect evidence against Clovis Bray. But, he as caught, and eliminated.

Cy ran from the lab and back to the woods. 
Since Cy knew to much, a private group was sent to collect the boy and his family. 

Reaching his home exhausted, Cy saw men raiding his home. The sound of his mother and sisters argues, turning to screams.
His family was taken from the home and put into trucks. 
Footsteps in the woods startled Cy,  running deeper into the forest.
He was almost caught, but his small body allowed him to escape the attackers clutches. 

Cy rua till his legs burned, his lungs hurt. Hiding under some tree roots.
Cy never saw his family again. Thinking no one was coming. He left his hiding spot, walking in a random direction. Mentally broken. A man named Kurk found him. Kurk lived in the woods as a hunter. 
Their bond would grow strong over time. Cy would tell Kurk about his family and what happened to them. Kurk an activist against Clovis Bray quickly took action.

Cy grew up under Kurk's care, becoming a young adul.
Joining the rebellion against Clovis Bray when Kurk passed away.
Heavily involved with the protests. He started his own groups. Disrupting Clovis Brays work. He sent people inside to smuggle data out. At 26, he dreamed of stopping Clovis Bray and taking revenge.

Now a Riot leader. Cy's a thorn in Clovis Brays side. 
Bounties to kill Cy started appearing. 
His closest friend betrayed him. The betrayal stung. Cy knew he'd be captured now.
But, having his close friend turn against him hurt more.
In public eye, Cy's capture is reported as a victory. He's called a radicle terrorist.
The public is told that he'll be jailed. However, he was imprisoned elsewhere.
No one but Clovis and their team knew this. 

Subjected to testing and torture. Clovis organized special tests involving more critical failures than successes. As a lab runners put it. "That's perfect, subject him to the one thing he fought against, it's a shame he'll go mad and die more gruelingly then the rest of them. Still, it should make for a good show, right?!"
