Lighthawk was introduced to his team leader. Dusk. A short 4ft tall exo with a strong will and kick for putting people in their place. Luckily for Hawk, she already knew about him, and as expected, introduced herself along with Hunter-66. When Taurus-4 was away on their longer mission. Lighthawk would be working with these 2 guardians for the time being.
Lighthawk had higher expectations of his fellow teammate who seemed to be a explosive expert. Lighthawk found it interesting to see a hunter working with explosives, but he noted that the Hunters wild energy fit the bill for such skills.
While Lighthawk got to know the two. Dusk explained that as a new member of the team, Lighthawk would have to fight them so they can better assess his use.
However Lighthawk mentioned that he maybe a bit much for them to handle. But, Dusk cut him off, already stating that she knew of Hawks impressive combat skills, but lack of skills with light wielding. So she said he'd be fighting them both at the same time to better the experience for him.
For the first time, Hawk liked this, as it gave him a challenge to look forward towards.
Setting up a match with the permission of Lord Shaxx, they used a private map called The Hanger. An old collapsed junkyard that use to crush cars. With a giant magnetic crane in the middle.
When the match started, Hawk was spared no time. Though they both started a good feet apart, Hawk quickly picked up on Dusk's fast lightening moves. However, Hawk swiftly blocked her incoming attack and launched her flying behind him.
Of course, he expected her to land well on her feet.
Which she did.
But, while he was looking at her, he noticed that Hunter-66 was gone.
Yet, he saw no sign of the red hunter.
But he didn't have long to think about it, as Dusk was on her way again.
Like a boomerang, Lighthawk would fight hand to hand with dusk and knock her back, kicking her away, and deflecting her attacks. But, Hawk noted that even though he was doing well to defend himself, Dusk showed no signs on tiring, and she always came back.
Lighthawk realized very quickly that Dusk wasn't even using her full strength, she was simply attacking him as to test his stamina limits.
While Hawk was busy with Dusk, it would be the sound of metal creaking that stopped him.
Seeing a glint, Hawk realized that an arrow was flying right for him.
Swiftly he leaned out of the way, but not before realizing a bomb was attached to the arrow!
Lighthawk realized Dusk had already backed away!
Hawk brought up his arms to shield his face as the bomb went off and blasted debris up and around him.
However he came out lightly scratched, nothing he couldn't handle.
This took Hunter-66 by surprise, but he swiftly snuck back into the shadows of the various old cars.
While Hawk looked to Dusk, he gave her an affirming look that said it was his turn to attack.
Dusk, readied herself but even as Lighthawk approached she did not predict that while he charged at her that suddenly he'd stop. Lighthawk preformed a move that kicked up the dusty dirt from the ground, creating a cloud for a moment. Dusk was a bit taken back, but figured he'd come in with a surprise punch, like most titans do.
However, when the dust settled even a little, she noted that Hawk was no inside the cloud he had created. But, suddenly the looming shadow above her showed that he had jumped!
Dusk rolled out of the way, but despite this attempt Hawk landed quiet lightly as if he knew she would and instead of performing an attack, lunged from his crouched spot to her before she could dash away.
Hawk wasted no time grabbed her and using his momentum to hurl his leader into the air and far away!
Hunter-66 on the other hand wasn't able to make a shot, since he dust Hawk kicked up cloaked them. Hunter-66 had no choice but to find another perching spot as he tried to sneak around Hawk without notice. Even when he saw his leader be thrown by Lighthawk, Hunter-66 kept calm and knocked back an arrow on his bow. Letting go once he saw Hawks figure.
Yet Hawk not forgetting about Hunter-66 dashed out of the way and into cover, grabbing for a rusted car door and much like before with the Fallen he once faced. He hurled it like a frisbee in Hunter-66's direction.
The door nearly hit Hunter-66 if he hadn't dodged out of the way, but in this attempt he noted that Hawk was getting closer!
However Hawk kept throwing car parts and mostly doors at Hunter-66, forcing the agile red hunter to be light on his fight!
Hunter-66 kept shooting at Hawk with his arrows, but they were not good, as it seemed Hawk wasn't running out of things to throw and use as a shield to block these attacks.
Eventually though this rabbit chase had to come to an end with Hawk catching up to Hunter-66 and about to swiftly punch the Hunter.
Yet in a surprising turn of events, Hunter-66 dodged and in his place came a bomb!
It blew up and Hunter-66 watched as Lighthawk had to block it with his arms again.
It made for a good distraction, which not only allowed him to put more distance from Lighthawk, but also gave Dusk enough time to get back into the fight!
This time Dusk ran for the stunned Hawk.
While Hunter-66 was about to shoot another arrow! Dusk also unholstered her pistol, drawing it out and aiming it at Lighthawk!
Yet Hawk realized what was happening, he swiftly pulled from gun holster.
Shooting at Dusk first while quickly taking cover.
Of course he got shot, but these light bullets did little to his armor.
Instead, letting Dusk close in on him, Lighthawk surprised her with a tool he grabbed off the ground.
The moment Dusk rounded the rusted up set of cars where Lighthawk was taking cover, she was met with a sudden weapon, whipping the gun right out of her hand.
Flinging it away!
"Shit", she cursed, before noticing that Hawk had already used the broken set of chains to begin another onslaught of attacks!
The chain snapping harshly, even surprising her!
Hawk took advantage of her defensive stance, he tricked her into thinking he'd strike her again so plainly. Which made Dusk think she had the upper hand, taking off into a fast sprint!
Little did she know this is what Hawk wanted, and quickly one of her legs was snagged by the chained, before yank on!
Dusk stopped in her attempt to dodge was now on the ground.
While Hawk dragged her closer about to deliver a punch!
But he heard Hunter-66 behind him!
With little time to react, Hawk held tight to the chain before whirling around and catching Hunter-66! Ensnaring Hunter-66 in their mid attack with the chain and ultimately using their momentum against them to further tangle them in it.
Swiftly after, Lighthawk kicked Hunter-66 who was no wrapped up.
Watching the poor red Hunter fall over with a grunt. Hawk went to finish Dusk before realizing she had gotten free and landed a kick to him.
He'd stumble back but the second kick he blocked before grabbing her incoming fist in his palm and yanking her into a headlock in his arms!
However, because of her small size, he knew she'd just slip free, so he fell in such a manner that at least she'd fall with him and slam her own head off the ground.
Afterwards he rolled away. Just as the two got up, Hawk grabbed a decent rock and hurled it at Dusk. Who surprised by the random attack just manage to dodge!
Giving Hawk a look of confusion! But, she knew by now that Hawk fought with anything and everything to ensure a victory.
Dusk head still pounding from the slam got to her feet, and blocked another rock thrown at her before she attempted use her arc abilities on Hawk!
However once Hawk saw that she was about to hit him with a swift arc kick of her own, Lighthawk attempted to summon his own abilities to counter.
However as Dusk neared to land the powerful kick, her eye lenses widened as she saw the uncontrollable sparks of wild arc energy surging through Hawk's every joint!
Dusk just barely dodged the attack, having to abandoned her own attack just to put herself out of the way!
Poor Hunter-66 was afraid he maybe shocked, still tangled in chains!
However in Hawks attempt to Arc punch Dusk, the raw energy was to great and from his first jolted a huge lighting strike that crackled past Dusk just barely!
The massive bolt zig zagged past Hunter-66 and its wild path uncontrolled reached out to all sorts of metals structures!
One of which was the giant magnetic crane above them!
Once the blast was over, Hawk fist shook, and energy zapped from it still. Sparking, crackling, and Hawk actually dropped to his knees clutching his wrist as he felt like his hand wanted to pop. He grunted in discomfort to the feeling of arc light surging through his very shoulder and arm.
Dusk realized that Hawk actually had no control over his powers as Taurus mentioned.
However none of the three had time to continue before a loud metal groan roared in the sky.
As Hawk looked up the large junk yard crane swayed slightly, before it groaned further and suddenly it sounded like cabled and metal were painfully bending!
Dusk eyes widened as she reacted fast!, Using her arc speed to dash her away from safety!
While Hawk grabbed the tangled Hunter-66 and hoisted the other onto his shoulder, bolting as fast as his legs could take him to avoiding the incoming Crane!
In a last ditch effort Hawk quickly spun and hurled Hunter-66 away from the incoming crash!
The Crane coming down hard from a hefty 50ft free fall!
Kicking up so much dust and crushing many cars and other junkyard items in its path!
However, once the dust settled, Hawk lay on the ground realizing that the Crane had missed him, while Hunter-66 was safe snagged and hanging from a broken large metal pipe.
Dusk zoomed over, quick to check on them both, and glad to see they were both okay.
She lent a hand to Hawk.
"Hmm, I think that's enough friendly sparring for today."
Thinking how she'd explain this to Lord Shaxx now that the map was well beyond damaged with the sudden collapsed of the large Crane.
