Since the accident with the forest fire.
Cy, or formally known as the Guardian Killer Mode-3 now, remained settled in a small camp outside the Last City walls. Able to see the Traveler but never willing to go there himself.
Though his ghost tried convincing him that maybe they should, Cy was still reluctant.
He harbored a hate for the so called powerful guardians.
When the night got late, Cy remained up and alert, unable to rest. Cy began playing his instrument. Eventually a noise caught his attention, and before he could react, a presence made their way from the shadows into the light.
Cy was taken back a bit to see another exo like himself, and much bigger than himself.
At first Cy thought they maybe they were a thief or wanderer of sorts, but when he saw they had a small machine similar to his own. Cy immediately became hostile, reaching for his guns.
Taurus-4 raised his arms in peace, apologizing for intruding in the night.
And further explained that he was simply out tending to the wild fires in the forest, since it was his job.
Though his didn't convince Cy, and as much as he wanted to kill the guardian now, his mind was to overwhelmed with annoyance over everything that had happened so far.
He told the large exo to get lost, or he wont think twice about sparing them.
And with that, Cy watched the larger Exo agree and disappear.
It was only when Cy finally fell asleep that he woke up to the smell of food.
With shock the Guardian Killer sprung to life and grabbed for his gun, about to put and end to this intruder. Yet he found himself again holding back his urge when he saw his own ghost mingling with the large orange exo now.
Cy ordered his ghost to get away, but after his ghost explained that he already told Taurus-4 everything. Cy was torn between shooting the guardian still, and or killing his ghost for being so stupid to trust a stranger!
His nerves were settled when Taurus-4 offered him an actual cooked meal.
At this point, Cy assumed everyone was stupid for being so bold of each other with trust.
He even cursed himself for not killing the guardian in the first place.
Though Taurus-4 could not get Cy to eat the food, he was able to actually talk to them without a gun pointed at him, even if Cy was ignoring him.
When all was done, Cy told Taurus-4 to leave again.
But Taurus-4 said they'd return with more supplies for them.
To which Cy refused, and said he wasn't sticking around to allow such things.
However despite this bickering and Taurus-4 eventually leaving.
Cy would not leave the campsite, and within another day, he found Taurus-4 again at his camp with more supplies.
And Cy did not react by grabbing his gun and blades.
But, he still didn't give Taurus-4 much to work with either.
The talk between them was small, and tense. With Tuarus-4 trying to gently pry away the walls Cy had put up mentally.
Taurus-4 knowing how Cy felt about guardians opted for another approach, asking Cy about simpler things, like their ability to craft and great skills with music.
Though these small topics got little to no where with Cy, the guardian killer was at least now answering in dismissive grunts and sighs. Which was more than what he was giving Taurus-4 before, and this just made the orange exo even happier.
After a few more months in the forest. Taurus-4 would visit Cy regularly. Breaking down a little bit of Cy's tense nature with conversations and food. But, those walls would go right back up the moment Taurus-4 mentioned that Cy should come with him to the Last City.
The guardian killer refused every time and made it clear that he had no place in those City Walls.
Taurus would not return for a while after that.
