When Cy was Downgraded from Mode-1's model to a lesser variant now called Mode-2.
Cy woke after the scientists put him back in a cell of his own among many other celled Exo Roughs. Variants that survived their ordeals in strange, and lucky ways.
However, were all roughly against Clovis still. And Cy was no exception among them. But, unlike the others. Cy seemingly was against even his fellow rogues, for one reason or another.
Scientist tried to see if the Rogue Mode-2 would respond kinder to their own, and offered another Exo to step in Cy's cell.
But that exo did not last long, as Cy swiftly attacked the nearing exo and tore them in half.
The grim reality with Cy was that he could be used for further isolated tests, but not once was he showing signs of collaboration even within his own "kind".
Cy wouldn't even speak.
What many didn't know is that stripping Cy of his Mode-1 body also stripped him of the very voice that guided Cy to using the body. Now he was still capable of using his lesser form, but his guiding voice was lost, but not so much his past. Since before his captured the voice did keep their promise of telling Cy who he was before he was transformed and how he was betrayed by his own into this form. What he knew now was that he wasn't going to play Clovis's lab games and no one was to be trusted.
Cy was one of Clovis's many lab rats. But eventually a rouge exo of yellow color manage to commune with the hostile Mode-2 Cy. It was there that Cy would finally and willingly open up to another. But it wasn't an easy set of steps. In the end, Cy was convinced that he could trust this yellow exo and their small party of rogues. Which lead them all to make an escape plan.
Using Cy's military nature to have an advantage by force.
The brunch executed their plan, and with Cy's help, the group escaped the lab and broke free.
For the first time on the run again, Cy quickly realized he still had links with the Vex, despite his downgrades, it seemed the lab must've missed a few things.
So when Cy found a Vex Gate, he used it on instinct since they were being chased. The power proved useful, and Cy got him and the rest of the rouges out and off the planet.
Accidently jumping them to Nessus.
But anywhere was better than there.
Freedom was theirs! Cy then remained with the group of rouges, and they traveled together, scavenging whatever they could from whatever they could and sometimes whoever they could.
Eventually Mode-2 found himself standing before a black Harpy, which he remembered from his previous days as Mode-1.
The black harpies were a creation of his design from harvesting Harpies as Mode-1 for his army.
Though, he was confused why it was here since he no longer could hear the voice once guiding him. And, assume that the voice was the only reason the black harpies even listened to him at all.
None the less, Mode-2 did not keep secretes from the group, and told them who he use to be, and what he did back before his re-capture. That the Black Harpies were his, or were.
Still, they continued on surviving and with the help of the Black Harpies finding vex gates for them to travel through, life was actually good.
Cy found himself drawn romantically to the yellow exo that started it all.
And his mind was erased of even the thought of taking up arms against Clovis now.
He seemed content with just living now.
That is till they went out on a scavenge hunt, and Cy received a distressing signal from his Black Harpies. Quick to try and return to them, Cy found it to late, and saw the his own Harpies had been attacked and charred.
Able to pull the data off one harpy showed that a group of people with powers easily took our his Harpies, and unprovoked.
Cy was confused, and angered that he lost his Harpies.
At this point Cy wanted to ensure these people pay.
Together they agreed to track down the small party and put and end to their power trip.
Along the way, Cy and the group ran into many other factions and camps raided by the same small group that took out his Harpies. All the stories were mostly the same, they came, they destroyed, and they took what was left.
Most that were attacked were left dead, but the few that did survive, Cy offered what he could to help them, while still on the hunt.
It was clear that this group they were tracking cared little about any they came across, anyone and everyone could be a victim and this urged them on even more to put an end to them.
Eventually Cy and his group caught up to the small party of 3.
And without warning, Cy and his gang of rogues took out one member of the party.
It was quick and effective, but when the target seemingly got back up after a little white machine scanned them. Cy realized this wasn't going to be a normal fight.
Now that group was aware Cy and his gang were attacking them, they quickly countered with their own weapons and abilities.
Ones that would leave Cy shocked, it was like magic from nothing.
The battle didn't end well, and Cy lost his first party member, a purple large exo.
The group got away, as they mourned the death of the purple exo, who despite the sad ending told them to continue on and that he'll be there rooting for them!
It drove them even further into determination to shut down these crazy people with powers.
After this, Cy took a more tactical approach to their enemy.
On the second attempt though, even the enemy was ready for Cy and his group.
But the two were equally going at it. None of the enemies traps worked on Cy or his fellow rogues. Instead Cy with the help of his rogues took out one of the powerful humans.
This time, Cy made sure that little machine couldn't scan them again, and without hesitation, shot it down.
It was clear to the group that there was a chance at permanent death, they would retreat. While Cy and his rogue exo's took their first victory!
And it didn't stop there, though they tried to learn more about the powerful dead human, nothing stood out now.
The little machine it had was lifeless, and though it gave of some energy unknown to Cy and the fellow exo's, there was nothing they gained knowledge why from it.
Eventually the group continued their hunt after the last two.
But this fight wouldn't go down the way they'd hoped.
The group that they were hunting set up another set of traps for Cy and his exo friends.
And these traps would be triggered, which killed one of his own.
Cy was faced with another loss of his own, as they were crushed by the collapsing building.
This left him and the yellow exo to fight the last two enemies they had been hunting.
And though Cy and the fellow exo took out the second powerful human and their white little machine.
The last human was able to get an advantage on the yellow exo, and with great pleasure, killed them. Cy had hoped to avenge or even save the one he loved, but the reality was that the human summoned a powerful weapon in fire. And put a hole through Cy's chest that sent him crumbling against a concrete wall.
Cy was no more, and his team of rogue exo's were all disbanded.
