Cy was allowed to stay in the City now that the Zavala knew he was here. However, Cy noticed that there was allot more patrol officers around where he stayed, and near his daily routs. He knew that he was being watched heavily now. Cy didn't blame him.
He continued to do his normal duties among the people, since he was good at lifting heavy things, he acquired a more manual labor job in helping those build new structures within the City. On his free-time he tinkered with making small machines, and playing a guitar he bought since entering the City.

Cy hid away with his original instrument , since it was a relic of his past, and its use reminded him of the guardians he killed while working with the Fallen.
Things seemed so much more complicated now.
However he would be a bit surprised when Taurus-4 stopped by and told him that Zavala wanted to see him.
At first he was reluctant, saying that there was no need for him to be there since Zavala's officers were watching him all hours of his day. What more could the commander want.
Yet Taurus-4 said that whatever Zavala has to say, it must be in person.
So Cy went with Taurus back to the tower.
Within Zavala's office.
The commander started of strong.
Confirming that the metal shrapnel they got from the Harvester is in fact a match to Cy's armor sample he gave them.
Cy's ghost was surprised, but Cy was not.

However, Zavala said that Cy can join the guardians, but with restrictions in place till they are sure of what's going on. Cy looked to Taurus-4, who he assumed did allot of convincing for this to happen, the goofy smile on the larger orange exo said it all.
Cy though denied wanting to join. Stating that there it be easier if he just continued a life in the city.
Zavala agreed, but he firmly stated that it be also easier to monitor him in full while he was in Tower grounds. Cy realized that Zavala would rather have him surrounded by trigger ready guardians then by innocent people that could get hurt.
Cy then agreed, as much as he didn't like the idea of being willingly trapped and at the ready to be killed, he didn't want to put any civilians of the city at harm or concern now that he was in fact this Harvester from the past.

Cy was furious as he left Zavala's office.
But Taurus-4 reassured him that he'll be okay, and this gives him a chance to show Zavala that things have changed. Taurus-4 also reminded Cy that Abe was the reason he tried this, and should still be the reason he wants to be a guardian, not because he is, but because he can protect the people he lived among.
Cy would think of this statements provided but he felt unsure if that's what was truly happening. He didn't trust himself now that he knew of his past actions.

Upon receiving his promotion as a New light guardian. Cy met with Ikora who seemingly was a bit firm with him at first. She provided his strict rules and regulations as a new guardian, but she also offered Cy some encouraging words.
Sharing her past deeds and faults as a guardian, and how she hopes to see him overcome his own.
As he looks over the paperwork with Taurus-4 one of the regulations was to have his body changed to better help him fit among the guardians. He'd have to lose his extra arms and his legs will have to be, tuned down from their digitigrade state.
Though Cy didn't want this knowing he'd not be able to climb and run as fast as he use to.
He had no choice but to agree. He didn't want other guardians recognizing him as easy as Zavala did.
But his horns and visor would surely give him away anyways.

So the first thing they did was get him to professionals that could take away these parts.
