This is probably not the best chapter I've ever wrote, I'm just getting back into it again so please forgive me 💗

There was a knock at Brett's bedroom door, I jumped at the sound.

"Brett?" His mom asked, I panicked and slapped him on the arm to wake him up.

"W-w-what?" He asked as he sat up, rubbing his face.

"Brett, is it alright to come in?" His mom asked making Brett's eyes go wide.

"Just a minute!" He called shakily, he rolled over, falling out of bed with a loud thump. At any other time I would have laughed, but you know.. I was panicking. Brett began pointing to his wardrobe furiously. So I climbed out of bed.

"Get in!" He whispered just as I opened the doors. My eyes went wide. Oh the smell.

I turned around, shaking my head.

"They're just shoes! Get in!" He whispered aggressively as he pushed me slightly.

"Your lacrosse shoes smell disgusting, I'd hate to know what they-" I was cut off by him shoving me in there. He shut the doors as I positioned myself with my fingers holding my nose.

"Uh, what's up mom?" Brett asked, as the sound of his bedroom door opening filled my ears.

"I just wanted to know how last night went," she trailed off.

"Yeah, uh, well we survived." He answered, I could imagine him shrugging or rubbing the back of his neck right now.

"Yeah but didn't you have problems with-"

Wait? His mom knows?

"Hattie helped us." Brett cut her off.

"Hattie? The girl from next door?" His mom questioned, he tone made me feel like she had her hands on her hips. Her tone sounded astonished. "She knows?"

"Yes mom, she knows" I could see him rolling his eyes as he stood leaning against his door. Looking as sexy as ever in just his boxer shorts.

Oh god. Stop.

"Well where is she?" She asked, I couldn't tell what her voice in tailed.

"She went home? Why would you ask that?" Brett questioned, oh no, he's going to make it obvious. Maybe not. My foot slipped and a loud bang was heard throughout the room.

"Shit," I breathed as I heard loud footsteps getting closer. I cringed as the doors to the cupboard opened. I squinted in the light.

"You can come out now, Hattie." His mom stated, her hands were on her him just as I imagined. I opened my eyes to see her scowling. I carefully climbed out of the cupboard, trying to avoid his mom's stare. Brett put his arm around my shoulder.

"Mom, we're dating. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you she was staying last night, it was just really late and she was tired." Brett explained, making my heart flutter at the words 'we're dating'. No Brett, as much as I wish we were actually dating we're not.. We're fake dating.

"That's fine Brett. I just wish you didn't hide things from me." She said as she walked over to his chest of draws. She opened his top drawer and chucked out some socks before lifting up a box of condoms. "Like these."

Brett removed his arm from my shoulder. A box of condoms? So what? His mom then walked over to his bedside table. She opened the small drawer and pulled out a pair of black lacy underwear. "I take it these are yours?" She asked me. My mouth dropped open as I shook my head.

No, they're not.

"Who's knickers are these, Brett?" His mom asked, confused at what she had just found out.
