KATHERINE!! IT FITS PERFECTLY! THANKS FOR GETTING INVOLVED, SORRY IF I DIDN'T CHOOSE A NAME YOU SUGGESTED.

So, yeah, I've changed 'Shannon's' name to 'Katherine'. Brett's ex is called Katherine.

Thank you for all your help. I hope you enjoy this chapter xx

I rolled my eyes as I looked to my left as I locked my front door.

"Here we go," I cringed as Brett made his way over looking as fit as ever.

"Hattie," he said softly, "I-I-"

I cut him off there when he started to struggle with what to say.

"Unless you're coming over here to tell me that you love me, you can turn around and walk away again because I'm not listening to your shitty ass apology about how we should carry on 'fake' dating." I told him, placing a hand on my hip. He shook his head slightly as he looked at me.

"I can't just tell you I love you when I don't." He stated, making me shrug.

"Then turn around and fuck off." I suggested. I was not in the mood for his shit. Obviously I don't expect him to tell me he loves me, I'm not that dumb. I just know he likes me. I'm upset that he can't admit that, so I'm annoying him on purpose.

"I just don't get why you're being like this.." He answered with a shake of his head. His shoulders were slumped.

"Because you've upset me Brett. I'm not just going to continue with our fake relationship." I told him.

"Now I know why Jacob cheated on you." He mumbled, but I heard it. My eyes met his as my body began to shake.

"What?" I asked, my voice small.

"I didn't say anything." He shrugged, as if I was going crazy. I shook my head and poked him in the chest.

"Now you can definitely shove your fake relationship up your ass!" I told him, fighting back tears.

"Hattie," he breathed but I pushed him.

"You're a dick, Brett!" I shouted, before I rushed past him and made my way to school. I wiped at my cheeks frantically trying not to ruin my make up, but Brett had really upset me. It was uncalled for. But maybe I shouldn't have used the L word. I didn't like it yesterday and nothing has changed. Maybe I should stop trying to push him away. They're just some random girls underwear, right?

But even so, if that person he is having sex with knows we are (fake) dating and is still having sex with him. Then he's practically cheating on me. Well not really, but in everyone else's eyes, they'd think that he was cheating on me.

Here she is, the boyfriend stealer. Someone thought just as I walked into the gates. I looked up and around me, spotting Brett's ex, Katherine stomping up to me.

"Where's lover boy?" She asked rudely, I smiled at her.

"No idea, I don't keep him on a leash. He's not a dog." I informed her. Wrong. She laughed lightly.

"Well when I was going out with him i kept him on a tight leash. Who know's where he goes when you're not around." She answered, smirking slightly. What was she implying?

"Well, maybe that's why he ran away, you know, so he can get some freedom." I snapped, making her raise her eyebrows. She flicked her long black hair over her shoulder and smiled ever so falsely.

"The truth is that dogs are loyal. They always come running back to their owner. I own Brett. And he's already ran back to me." She answered, while stepping forward.
