"Ugh... What the hell... Agh...!" I groaned harshly after feeling a sting in my head upon waking up. Holding onto my forehead, I slowly opened my eyes only to find myself in the middle of nowhere. Examining my surroundings with a gaze, I sat up from the grassy ground of this thick woods. This seemed weird; I remembered I was about to go to an Anime convention at Megamall, only to hear a screech and bam! Wait... Bam? Hold up...

I suddenly stood up and looked around once again to contemplate if this was actually happening. I knew this cliché; I damn swear to God I had already seen this in every isekai that I've read and watched. I chuckled a bit and sighed deeply, trying to determine if this was just a dream. "Okay... First things first, I need to know exactly what the hell is going on... I need to check if I'm dreaming," I muttered, keeping my composure intact before I found a tree behind me and walked over to bang my head against the bark.

"OUCH!!! Wait... NO FREAKING WAY!!!" I really screamed what was on my mind because how the hell would I even stay calm when I find myself in an isekai? Taking a deep breath, Genji. I started to march my way wherever my feet took me, which I considered reconnaissance. That's right, reconnaissance; I was in the army before I retired and became an unpopular masked streamer on Twitch. Not gonna lie, it had been four years since I'd done this, and I finally took a deeper breath. But, not gonna lie, the air wasn't the same as where I was because it was very pure. Probably the forest was still thick and vegetated, where I could breathe fresh air. Well, this was a good thing to me. Guess I should touch some grass for a while now.

I didn't know where I was now, but all I knew was that I'd been wandering across this forest, and all of a sudden, nine green humanoid creatures ambushed me and started to chase me! Heck, I ran as fast as I could until I finally shook them off my tail. Nope, it ain't a warm welcome for me in this new world. I found myself on the branch of this enormous tree so I could take a rest from running. From what I took a glance at from the chasers, they were goblins, seemingly because of their appearance. Since they didn't see me, I could start assessing myself and the function of this world by doing what everyone I saw in the anime did.

"Status," I said, wishing to see a status, and it worked. It also had its avatar, which looked... similar to when I was in high school, but my physique though, and my field combat attire...
