Chapter 14

Nia

"Leave me the fuck alone." I yelled as Mario grabbed me.

Mario looked at me shocked. I don't know why I've been so angry lately, my mood swings been on one.

"Nia, what the hell is wrong with you?" He pinned me against the wall.

People were now lookin at us like we were crazy.

"You basically called me fat." I busted out crying.

"Baby, I did not call you fat. I said you should slow down eating. Did you see how fast you were eating your food?"

Everything Mario was saying I couldn't understand, I was to busy worried about the lump forming in my throat. Mario lips were moving in slow motion and I felt dizzy.

"Nia." Mario called after me as I ran to the bathroom.

I quickly hovered over the toilet throwing up everything I ate and drunk today.

"Sir you cannot go back there." I heard Mario arguing with the manager of the restaraunt .

"That's my wife, something isn't right." Mario yelled.

"Sir if you do not move, I will call security."

Those were the last words I heard before I blacked out.

Mario

"Do what the hell you have to do my wife is sick." I pushed the manager out the way and ran into the womens restroom.

"Baby...Nia." I panicked as I seen her passed out on the bathroom floor.

"Nia baby wake up." I screamed.

My hands were trembling as I tried to grab my phone out my pocket to dial 911.

The manager busted in and grabbed my phone, oh now he wants to believe me..fuck boy.

"I got it sir." He changed his attitude real quick as he talked to the paramedics.

"Baby." I ran my fingers through her hair. I felt myself getting soft, something I never do but my wife I don't want to lose her. "Wake up, don't leave me." I felt a tear slip my eye.

"Nia." I shook her. "Don't give up on me baby, please don't." I banged the bathroom door.

"Sir I need you to calm down." He ran over and grabbed Nia's wrist. "She still has a pulse, she will be just fine the paramedics are on there way."

I held Nia in my arms and rocked her back and forth silently praying to myself until the paramedics came.

When the paramedics came I left my car at the restaraunt, I rode right in the ambulance with Nia. I have to know if my baby is aight, I gotta see what the hell they doing to her.

I had fell asleep in the chair until I heard a raspy voice call my name.

"Mario."

My eyes quickly fluttered opened, I realized it was Nia and I ran over towards the hospital bed.

"Baby you finally up." I kissed her forehead. "God answered my prayers." I smiled.

"What happened?" Nia looked confused.

"You don't remember we were at the restaraunt having dinner, you started going off on me. You went to the bathroom and threw up and passed out."

Nia shook her head. "I got sick at the restaraunt?"

I nodded my head. "I was getting ready to beat the managers ass, he wasn't trying to let me in the bathroom. I knew something wasn't right."

"Mrs. Perez, you're finally awake." One of the nurses interrupted.

"Nurse, what's wrong with her?" I looked over at the nurse.

"Well the test results came back, Nia you're indeed pregnant."

"Pregnant?" Her eyes widened and she gasped.

"Yes, you two are having a baby."

I scratched my head, I ain't ready for another child the two we have right now is enough.

Nia

My heart began to beat fast because I don't know who the father is and I feel ashamed of myself. That explains why I've been acting so evil towards everyone lately.

"Well how far along am I?" I asked.

"One month to be exact." The nurse smiled.

"What? How did I miss that?" I fiddled with my fingers.

"Well everyone's body is different, women get symptoms during different stages of pregnancy."

"Oh." I mumbled.

"What caused her to pass out?" Mario asked.

"Well mrs. Perez you were very dehydrated and I can tell you haven't been sleeping well. Those habits need to change now that you know you have a little one inside of you."

I nodded my head. "I know I have been pregnant before..twice to be exact." I sighed.

"You should have no worries then." The nurse smiled.

I forced a smile on my face, I definitely have something to worry about and that's the father of my child.
