Chapter 19

Mario

"Take your things upstairs to the guest room." I told my kids.

I decided on staying at my parents house until I find an apartment. I only need 2 bedrooms since Jayden will be leaving for college soon.

"Oh my babies." My mom pulled Jayden and Ariana into a gigantic hug.

"Damn what about me mama?" I played like I was hurt.

"Oh come give mama some sugar now." She puckered her lips and pecked my forehead.

"What brings you 3 here? Where's Nia?" My mom gave me a confused look.

"Jay and Ari go take y'all bags upstairs like I asked yall.. Please." I scratched my head.

As I heard Ari and Jay footsteps up the stairs I followed my mom into the kitchen and sat across from her.

"I think I want a divorce." I damn near almost choked up.

I was growing my hair back to the point I need a hair cut. I have been barely eating nor sleeping.

"You want a divorce or you think you want one?" My mom furrowed an eyebrow.

"I told her I want one, but I'm not sure. Mama I still love her, I gave her my all and she goes behind my back and cheats on me. Not only that this nigga got her pregnant, had me thinking it was mines until I went to a doctor's appointment with her." I felt a tear slip down my cheek, I never cry in front of my kids. My mama and Nia can only bring the soft side out of me.

"Oh baby I am so sorry, I can't believe she would do some trifling shit like that to my baby boy." She grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"You can stay here as long as you need to, but I need you to stay strong for them kids. They need you just as much as you need them."

I nodded my head. "Have she tried contacting?"

"Yeah a couple of times, I ain't answer though."

My mom shook her head. "Did you let her give you an explanation?"

"She doesn't deserve one. Look mom no disrespect but are you on her side or mines?" I started to get angry, I'm up here going through a heartbreak and shit and she taking up for Nia.

"I'm not taking up her side Mario, I'm just saying she does deserve an explanation. After you cool down you two need to talk. After all you do have two kids together, you two have been through it all. Before you go through a divorce make sure that's the decision you two want to make. I'm not saying you shouldn't because you can always get remarried, but just follow your heart baby." She sighed.

"I made your favorite, spaghetti and garlic bread." My mom tried to change the subject.

"I'm not hungry." I got up from the table.

"Mario have you been eating?" My mom called after me.

"No." I bluntly said.

"You need to eat, that's not good for you."

I nodded my head as I walked up the steps to get the kids for dinner.

Nia

I woke up as I felt a sharp pain in my stomach.

"Ouch." I held my stomach.

"What's wrong?" Chris ran over towards me.

"The baby is kicking me."
