Chapter 9

Chris

The smell of weed lingered through the strip club. I took another puff and gulped down some more Hennessy.

A pretty little light skinned shawty came over and sat on my lap.

"May I?" She took a hit off my blunt.

"Here." She handed it back to me.

"Naw you can keep it." I scrunched my mouth up in disgust. I don't even know lil mama forreal. All I know is she a stripper and I don't know where her mouth been.

She shrugged her shoulders as I watched her inhale and exhale the smoke. I can't lie she looked sexy as hell smoking too.

"I'm candy, short for Candace." She bent down and yelled over the music in my ear.

Candace grabbed my hand and lead me towards a secluded room in the back. My eyes was low, and I felt gone.

"I'm going to give you a private dance." She bit her bottom lip as she walked over towards the stereo in the room.

Trey Songz - Slow Motion blasted through the speakers as she walked over. When Candy turned around my eyes widened as I seen how big her ass was.

"Got damn." I mumbled to myself as I sat back in the seat watching her hit splits and shake her ass at the same time.

My moment was ruined once I heard a familiar voice.

"Christopher get up!" I looked up to see Kay.

I furrowed an eyebrow confused on how she knew where I was and what the hell was she doing here.

"Excuse me, but you can't just be barging in here like that." Candy mean mugged Kayla.

"And you can't just jump into my conversation, so shut the fuck up and mind your business." Kayla spat at Candy.

Candy shook her head and walked off. "I don't got time for this bullshit." She threw her hands up.

"Get the hell up Chris, I'm not letting you do this to yourself again." Kayla helped me up.

"Kay what are you doing here man?" I stumbled as we were walking through the crowd out the club.

"Don't worry about it. You can come get your car tomorrow. I refuse to let you get behind the wheel like this."

I woke up with a migraine headache. I was shocked to see Kayla by my side.

"Here." She handed me two tylenols and a glass of water. "I made you breakfast."

I held my forehead as I groaned. "What happened?"

"I figured you wouldn't remember. You were faded last night." She ran her fingers through my hair.

"I don't get it. Why you still here Kay? After I treated you like shit."

"Because I care for you Chris. Whether we are together or not, I'll always love and care for you." She kissed my cheek. "Eat up." She handed me a BLT sandwich.

I looked up at her as I took a bite of my sandwhich. "I don't know how much I can thank you man, or even repay you. You deserve the world."

Kayla flipped through the channels. "Don't worry about it Chris. You've already stolen my heart." She nervously chuckled.

Nia

I was getting ready for work and Rio was trying to have sex. For some odd reason, he wasn't turning me on like he used too. I just wasn't in the mood.

"Rio, stop it." I unwrapped his arms from around my waist.

"What's up baby? I mean you used to be pressed as hell to have sex now all of a sudden you don't want it."

I raised an eyebrow as I looked at him through the mirror.

"Who you fucking?" He quickly changed the subject, not even allowing me to get one word out.

"Excuse me?" I turned around shocked to hear the words that just came out of his mouth.

"Any woman would be down to have sex with there man, you obviously fuckin someone else if you don't want what's in front of you."

I let out a small chuckle as I stepped closer to Rio. "I can't believe you would even think some shit like that." I shook my head. "Only men who cheat would accuse there wife of fucking someone else. So who you fuckin?" I flipped the script on him.

"Don't put that shit on me." He sucked his teeth. "You been actin weird lately, I want to know what the fuck am I doing wrong?"

"Me actin weird? Mario you are the one who's been actin weird." I screamed. "You know what fuck this, I'm not about to argue with you." I grabbed my work badge and my purse about to head out.

"Nia, I lost my job." Rio yelled.

My heart sunk to my stomach and I quickly turned around. "What, baby how?" I ran over to him and kissed him. "I'm so sorry." I immediately pulled him into a hug.

"I should've been told you, but my ex wife Paris sabotaged me. She wanted me to have sex with her, I refused too so she failed my inspection test. They're closing my restaraunt." Rio choked up.

I ran my fingers through his hair as I consoled him. "I'm sorry baby, I really am." I cried with him. I felt really bad. I cheated on my husband and he's going through some rough shit right now.

I grabbed his face. "Baby, why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't think she'd do it, but they called me this morning and told me." He took his shirt and wiped his eyes.

This is Rio's dream and it's all ruined because of his selfish ass ex wife. I can't call anyone selfish because I played him, and now I have to find the right time to tell him before he find out on his own. Right now wouldn't be a good time, so I'll wait.

"I have to get to work baby, we'll figure something out later when I get off. Just hang in there babe." I pecked his lips.

Rio nodded his head as he watched me leave out.

"Nia, I love you." He yelled. "I'm sorry I took my anger out on you."

"I love you too Rio baby." I sighed as I walked out the door. The guilt was definitely eating me alive.
