Epilogue

"Kristyn say hi to grandma baby." I put her down so she could walk, but she hugged my leg shaking her head no.

I tucked my bottom lip in my mouth as I looked at my mother who had tears coming down her eyes.

"It's okay baby." She said barely above a whisper.

I was picking her up from jail, the judge decided to let her go and put her on the box.

"Hi Kristyn, I'm your granny." My mama walked with us to the car.

Kristyn put her index finger in her mouth observing her grandmother, it's her first time meeting her.

Nia and I are throwing her a party later on, she turned 1 a few days ago. I decided to wait until my mama got out of jail. In case your wondering I forgave her.

Flashback.

"Oh Chris you came to see me again." A huge smile spread across her face.

I nodded my head. "Of course, you my mama. I know if I fucked up, you'd still be there for me."

"I know I raised you right. That's my boy. Christopher I never meant to hurt you, you know I would never try to kill you. I just let the jealousy eat me up so bad, I wasn't thinking straight. I'm sorry, I really am and I hope you can find a place in your heart to forgive me."

I touched the glass where my mom had her hand placed on the other side of the window. "I forgive you." I said through the phone.

Flashback over.

"So, when you going back to V.A mama?" I asked as I drove back to the crib.

"Well I won't know until my next court case in a couple of months. Luckily he was nice enough to let me out so I can attend my grand baby first birthday party." She looked back at Kristyn who stared at my mama trying to figure out who she was.

My heart was beating fast as I pulled up to Nia & I place. I don't know what to expect knowing she hate my mama, I just hope they can get along for the sake of our child.

I took a deep breath as I opened the door for my mama, and unbuckled kris out her car seat.

"Da'da." She smiled as I picked her up.

"Yes baby girl?" I kissed her cheek.

"Luh' you." She giggled.

"I love you more baby girl." I smiled. I'm happy that she's finally talking and walking.

The doctor says she talks more then a average one year old usually does.

I stuck the key in the door only to be met by an angry Nia.

"Baby don't start, I'll explain later." I whispered.

"I'm sorry Joyce but you're not welcomed in our home." Nia blocked the door way so my mom couldn't get through.

"Nia! Stop it." I tried pulling her away from the door.

"No, Chris it's alright honey. I deserve it."

"You damn right you do, you tried to kill me! & then got the nerve to show up at our doorstep. Oh no, you got the wrong one you psycho ass b-." I placed my hand over Nia's mouth before she could get the rest out.
