Mom, if you're reading this....STOP NOW.
So, I convinced mom to let me go to the Dunn's house for a sleepover last night.
Well, technically I lied and told her it was at Leah's. But ever since my little viral moment last year, mom and dad have been total recluses. That's why I knew she wouldn't call Leah's parents to confirm or anything.
It was also my idea for Alyssa to host this little cheerleading sleepover party. It was a quick attempt to be able to spy on Preston. He didn't make any plans with me for the weekend which was odd in my opinion. We always planned to meet up on the weekends. But things have felt distant between us since we talked last week.
Okay so it's mostly my own fault for being so awkward and uncomfortable around him but I just can't help it! He went from being this stoic, casual guy to an actual sexual being that wanted all the same things that Drake wanted.
I know it's unfair of me to compare the two of them. I mean, Drake is a horny douchebag and Preston is a hormonal gentleman. It's just that I thought I could separate Preston from the sense that "boys will be boys". But he is still in fact, a boy.
Leah, Willow and Mia were a bit put off by the fact that we were sleeping over at a freshman's house. I had to convince them that Alyssa was basically one of us. She might be young but she warranted the same status.
The girls came around once we were there. It was just the five of us and two other girls from the squad that were in Alyssa's grade; Erin and Maddie. We had all our pillows and blankets littered around the television room but we were gathered in the kitchen eating like 3 boxes of pizza.
After rummaging through the Dunn's cabinets I found all the ingredients I needed to make my grandma's chocolate chip cookies..
While I was piling ingredients into their stand mixer, we were gossiping and giggling about the squad and people at school. Then, Maddie said,
"Alyssa, where is your fine ass brother tonight?"
My head nearly flew off my neck with how fast I turned to glare at her. Alyssa caught my vibe immediately and kindly explained to Maddie that he was MINE.
"Don't call him that," she cringed. "Besides, he's dating Parker now."
Erin shoved Maddie in the shoulder.
"Sorry," she refrained from making eye contact.
"It's okay," I shrugged. "He really is fine as hell."
We all laughed except Alyssa who covered her ears and faked a gag.
"Don't even play Alyssa. Your brother is one of the hottest guys in school." Willow said.
"How did you guys start dating?" Erin asked.
"I just asked him out and he said yes," I smiled and shrugged it off like it was effortless. I left out the part where I practically begged and pleaded for him to take me on a date!
I like Erin and Maddie. Naturally, I liked Alyssa too but the other girls looked up to me like I was their Yoda. Mind you, I've never seen a single Star Wars movie but I know that guy was like a master Jedi or something. It was nice to be admired by the younger crowd. I felt like an all knowing being. That is, until Erin asked another question.
