I had my exams today...
I don't give a fuck if I passed or not. My life is over, I HATE Preston and I don't care about that stupid fucking trip.
There was nothing else I could have possibly drilled into my head. If I failed any of those exams, I will take it as a sign from God that I was never meant to go.
I won't even care.
Preston can go off with his friends and have the time of his life without me. I hope an avalanche smothers him! I hope he gets eaten by a bear in those mountains! I don't care, I just hope that he never comes back!
But let me start from the beginning...
Preston had been so understanding of my studying and rejecting hanging out with him after the day we skipped school. I wanted to make it up to him big time. With ignoring everything and everyone except my studies, I even felt bad for putting Leah on the back burner too.
That's why, tonight, I insisted we all go to a party together. I deserved to get drunk and kill a few brain cells after those brutal tests. We all did.
I guess they felt similarly because both agreed to go to this party at a senior named Jason Forsyth's house.
Jason is the senior and school class president. He's pretty known on campus and is really big into school spirit. He always headed the student fan section at games and I think he attended every school sanctioned event that Whitfield threw this year. With the fact that he seemed to know just about everyone, I already knew this party was going to be a banger.
The plan was for me to go over to Leah's and get ready with her. She wanted to drink too so Preston offered to pick us up and drive us to the party along with Alyssa. Elijah, Dylan and Levi were meeting us there at 10.
When Preston came to pick up Leah and I, we were waiting outside in her driveway ready to get the night started. I looked so good in my Preston-inspired outfit. I wore black jeans with holes in the knee that let the cold air seep in and a black, off the shoulder cropped knit sweater with tears in it that exposed bits of my matching bra underneath. I even busted out my pair of black Prada combat boots willing to risk them getting sticky on the unavoidable alcohol soaked floors.
Leah, being her typical self, was wearing a white dress with rhinestone stockings and a denim jacket.
Seriously, it was like we never dressed for the same occasion.
Preston pulled up to us and booted Alyssa to the back. I climbed into the passenger seat and leaned in to kiss my boyfriend. After, I looked back at Leah and Alyssa who were clicking their seatbelts on.
"You look so pretty, Alyssa," I commented.
She beamed from ear to ear and I knew that one compliment probably made her night.
When we got to the party, it was packed! So much so that there were people outside on the porch despite the 40° temperature. A lot of them were passing blunts and smoking but some of them were just standing around talking.
Wanting to get out of the cold, I hurried into the house leaving everyone behind. Even Preston. I got hit with warm air from the heaters and sighed at the warmth.
I stood in the foyer, waiting for everyone else to catch up. They were certainly taking their time.
When they all finally came in, we decided to split up and explore the house. Alyssa went off to find some of her friends while Preston went to look for his. Before he left, he took my purse and slipped his phone, wallet and keys inside so he wouldn't lose them.
Leah and I decided to head to the kitchen to track down some alcohol and start taking shots. I poured four shots of vodka for Leah and I. We cheers'd and threw them back like it was nothing.
