I'm Gonna Be Ready

I wake up at 6am and go for a run which takes me an hour, Mawe is making porridge when I return. I kiss her cheek and go take a bath. “What time are you coming back?” Mawe
“Her flight is at 6, we must be there at 5 so maybe around half 6. Do you need anything?”
“I need you to pick me up from church. That phone is keeping you busy these days. ”Mawe.
“I will come.” I smile smiles.
I call Ore while eating my porridge. She says she will be ready in 2 hours. I wash my car to pass time, I freshen up and drive to Ore’s place after she calls saying she is done, 3 hours later  she sends me a pin for the gate. I call her when I’m at the parking.
“Hey Vuyo, you remember my friend Sabs.” Ore greets me with a hug. She smells like marshmallows.
“Yes, Sabs you good?” I clear my throat.
“I’m good in law.” Sabs.
“Sabelo, behave.” Ore reprimands.
“For that name, brother in law she saved your name as my crush.” Sabs laughs, Ore throws her keys at the back,missing Sabs. I laugh.
“Vuyo drop him here, he can walk.” Ore teases.
“He won’t do that, he knows  I am his keeper.” Sabs dramatically says. Ore ignores him and she turns on the radio and they sing along to the old school Rnb.
Arriving at the airport I park the car and help them with their luggage. We are early,  they check in. Sabs goes to the bathroom.
“Thank you for the ride, I might call you when I get back.” Ore.
“Let me know the day before, I am moving.”
“Moving where? I can help when I get back. In a week?” Ore.
“To my mom’s apartment. I will wait, call me when you arrive.” She nods and pecks my lips and she runs to the gate. Leaving me shocked. I drive back home, I park outside the church and wait for Mawe.
“Where are you? No one is home.” Jr texts.
“Hi Jr, I am good thanks. At the church, your mother is at work.”
“you church? Are you dying? I’m coming.” Jr.
Jr arrives 10minutes later walking to my car. He enters and laughs. “Thought you were inside.” Jr
“In shorts?why are you here?”
“I missed you.” Jr.
“Dude, you have a wife please. Shhh.”
“Hey. Lewatle just picked us up.” Ore
“Okay, I am glad you are safe. I’m still waiting for your bestie and her mates.”
“Please greet her, i will call you when I get home. Lewatle is staring at me.” Ore.
“Say hi to her.”
“Will do, bye.”
“So you guys are dating now?” Jr.
“No.”
“If you say so. There’s Mawe.” Jr.
“Vuyo, JuJu. Can we please take MmaNkosi home?” I agree, they sit at  the back. We drop MaNkosi off a street ahead of ours.
“Did Sesi arrive home safe?” Mawe.
“Sesi?” I frown.
“Your girlfriend.” Mawe, Jr laughs.
“She’s in Durban, her sister picked them up.”
“I thought you weren’t dating her?” Jr.
“Your are worse than your Matshepo .” The drive home is short. I park the car, we find Matshepo  cooking. I greet her and go to my room to start with work. 2 hours later Ore calls me saying she arrived home safe and they went out for dinner. Her father wants to meet the owner of the red car. We end the call when Matshepo  calls me for dinner. I wash the dishes then take a shower before heading to the bedroom again to finish off my work.
