Mattheo looked as if he was staring right past Sky and into the eyes of Narcissa. He could see the pain in her eyes. One thing that no one knew, even Lucius, was that Narcissa knew Mattheo. She had spent time with him when all the kids were in school. She had always been so nice to him.

Once she noticed he was looking at her and not Sky, Narcissa nodded her head and quietly walked away. She had to compose herself because she knew that the time was coming that she had to tell Lucius and everyone else the truth. She was going to have to tell them everything and it could possibly change how they viewed her.

Mattheo slowly read the first page. Not once. Not twice. But three times.

He remembered making that card like it was yesterday. It was one of the only cards he had ever made and he remembered the look on his mum's face from the moment she saw it. He remembered the smile on her face and the hug she gave him,

He began reading the next entries that were in her diary. The next one that truly caught his attention was Easter 1987. The look that appeared on Mattheo's face was shocking. He nodded his head because he remembered Easter. Narcissa had come over and brought him a few goodies from Easter since he wasn't allowed to spend it with everyone else.

Tears started to form in his eyes, it was a rush of emotions. It was the first time that anyone other than his mother who had shown him any type of love. The basket had a few toys and some candy in it. And he remembered the words she told him

"Hide it so no one can take it from you. You deserve to have goodies too. Hide it somewhere safe Mattheo. I'm sorry you're not allowed to partake with the other kids."

His mum had kissed his forehead and told him, "If it were up to me, it would be you who could participate in all events and holidays with the kids. I love you son. Now run along."

Mattheo quickly wiped the tears away and looked straight into Sky's eyes, "What do you want to know?"

"I want to know everything. Everything Tom ever did. About your childhood. I need to understand so I can put the pieces together."

"Sky, can't this wait?" Pansy pleaded with her sister while hanging on to Mattheo.

Everyone could tell that right now Pansy was scared about everything and the only person who truly made her feel safe was Mattheo. She had been locked in a room with him for who knows how long. He had been the one who had taken care of her for almost a year. When she was scared, he was the one who was there. When she thought she was going to die there, Mattheo was the one who held her while she cried and promised he would be right there with her and if anyone happened to her and he survived, he would kill every single person who got in his way of finding her father. But he knew, or had hope that they would be found.

Sky took her sister's hand and before she could respond, Mattheo did, "Pans, they need to know so they can figure out what my brother is up to. And I'm right there with them. If they let me, I'll fight next to them."

He looked at them and sat down, "Tom was always the troubled child. He would kill animals and blame it on me. He would destroy things within the house that mum valued and then tell father I did it so I would get punished. It got so bad to the point father refused to let me be present once everyone started coming to the manor or if they would go out. I was locked away in my room with wards that could only be unlocked by Tom or my father. Not even my mum. If she even thought about it, she would be hit with the cruciatus curse.

"Life was hell. The only human interaction I ever got was from Narcissa and someone named Melina. They were always so wonderful to me. Every holiday since they found out about me, they would give me gifts to make sure I felt included– as much as possible. It was nice.
