AN: it's been almost a year but we all know how life gets. Hopefully, I can finally get back to it and finish the book out strong. There are not many chapters left. 10 at most and I am starting the rewrite. Possibly even a sequel. I love you all and thank you for all the support

Two weeks have passed since they began their vacation in Alaska and they have enjoyed every minute of it. The first few days they relaxed in the lodge and enjoyed being away from Hogwarts, their families, and everything going on. Just the two of them. In each city they have been to they have stayed for two to three days, giving them ample time to explore and see many different things.

The first city they visited was Sitka. Sitka is a city that many people visit known for St. Michael's Cathedral, nature, and the dormant volcano of Mount Edgecumbe. The first day they were there they hiked Tongass National Forest. While hiking they were able to see the water from the mountains, giving them views of black bears, sea otters, puffins, whales, and black-tailed deer.

The second city they visited at Draco's request is Skagway. He had heard from Blaise that it was intriguing from the times he had been there with his mum and whatever husband she had at the time. Skagway has been known for its Klondike gold-rush-era buildings and the Yukon Railroad route. Draco had always been fascinated with trains and the history of things. It was just how Blaise had described it to them. Even better actually now that they are getting to see it with their own eyes.

They went to see the ice and snow cutter first, then hit the gold-rush cemetery. For a little less than two years, the town of Skagway began growing and it was booming. In the 1890s there were not enough doctors in the area. The types of illnesses that were a big issue were meningitis and typhoid. Most of the headstones they had seen were dated in the year of 1898. Typhoid, meningitis, and lawlessness wiped out most of those buried here, and the majority of the grave markers we saw are dated 1898.

The third and last place they have seen before returning to the lodge was Talkeetna. Talkeetna is home to three glacier rivers and is between Denali and Anchorage. This was a town that they both had wanted to visit, with many different things to see. They originally wanted to go on a guided tour, but they were all full, so they explored on their own. One thing they wanted to do was the zipline. They ziplined through the treetops, seeing the mountains, over a lake, and hearing the sound of the songbirds.

They enjoyed the colors and sounds of nature. They had many picnics in open fields, seeing all the different animals, things they had never seen in the wizarding world. They'd never seen these types of creatures and were mesmerized by them, mainly Sky. She had always wanted to view different parts of the world and see the differences between London and everywhere else.

"Are you ready darling?" Draco shouts from the living room of their suite at the lodge

She walked out of the bathroom, her hair had beach wave curls, her makeup was minimal and natural, and her outfit was casual. He was mesmerized by her beauty, even after all these years. He knew that he wanted to spend his life with her; he just didn't know if she wanted to be with him forever.

"I'm ready. Sorry, I took so long. I couldn't decide what I wanted to wear and ended up being casual."

He walked over to her, "You look amazing, as always, love. Let's go." He took her hand and walked out of the lodge where the sun was setting and the sky was full of pink, orange, red, and yellow, making it the perfect date night.

The way the sunset hit her face made her eyes shimmer brighter than the minimal highlight she put on. There was a slight chill in the air, causing chill bumps to appear on her arms. As Draco noticed, he took off his coat, wrapping it around her shoulders and placing his arm around her providing her extra warmth.
