It wasn't rare that Blaise had thoughts like this. Typically he would keep them to himself but lately he has been more opinionated and wasn't afraid to say it.
Ever since he started working closely with Sky and Draco on these tasks and finding Pansy, he found his voice. When neither were thinking straight or adequately, he would tell them just that.
Growing up, Blaise didn't have a true father figure other than Lucius Malfoy, who wasn't the best father to his own children. Blaise's mother had married quite a few times due to her husbands all passing away. The only male in her life who didn't perish was Blaise. Although people were weary of the mysterious passings of all of her husbands, no one questioned her; especially since she lived in France the majority of the time since Blaise stayed with the Malfoy's.
Sometimes he had often thought about asking his mum about what happened to all the men, but again he loved his mother enough not to ask. Or the thought of him possibly dying for asking had lingered in his mind too. But what mother would kill their own child? He decided to keep his questions to himself for the fact he didn't know the capabilities his mother had.
Draco and Sky had both shot a look at one another. A look that was quite bone-chilling from realizing. New thoughts had popped into their heads.
Was Blaise right?
Did Tom plan this whole ordeal to keep them focused on other stuff?
As much as Sky didn't want to believe it, it started to come together. All the nights he wasn't in the common room with Samantha. All the times he missed practicing and focusing on the tasks. He was probably with the Golden Trio, when he said him and Samantha were just walking around. Which never added up since the prefects would've caught them and Snape and Flitwick would've been pissed, so that wasn't true.
He was helping Potter. But why? Why would he help the person who holds the fate of his whole family?
Was he being a double agent? If so, why wasn't he informing Sky, Draco, Blaise, or even his father of Potter's intentions?
"Blaise, you're absolutely brilliant! Why didn't we think of that? But why would Tom help Potter?" Sky said
The room remained silent as everyone started to think of anything and everything on why Tom would want to help Potter. Sky and Draco obviously couldn't think of anything since they had believed the whole time that Tom was actually on their side, but it didn't seem that way now. Did Samantha play a bigger part in this than they are led to believe?
Narcissa was at a loss of words. She had always known Tom as a semi-quiet, loving, smart, helpful child who turned into a young man. Now she was believing that she didn't know him at all. Granted knowing who his father was, there was always that chance, but their mother. Their mother was someone who she had always seen as a close friend who she would even consider family. Narcissa didn't know of Mattheo until the kids were seven, but was told not to mention him to anyone. She had met Mattheo a few times when she would go to Gaunt Manor without the children and he seemed so pleasant. She wished that he would be included in the group of children.
Even though Tom and Mattheo's mother had left their father, she tried to stay in contact with the boys but one day she had received a letter that they no longer wanted anything to do with her. It broke her heart but she didn't want to keep interfering with their lives if they didn't want her a part of it. Narcissa would write to her often but after a few years they had lost touch and haven't talked in nine years. Their mum would be so disappointed in how her children were acting because they were truly lovely when younger.
As she looked at Mattheo holding Pansy, she could see that lovely child was still inside of him. Although growing up with Voldemort as his father and having a brother who would turn everything around to make Mattheo look like the villain, she could understand why he turned out differently. Who she saw holding on to Pansy for dear life, was someone who did love her.
