Mattheo couldn't help but look at all the scars that were visible on Pansy. His heart sank when he saw the one he gave her from when he first kidnapped her. Although he was under the imperius curse from her father, he felt completely responsible. He should've been able to figure a way to get out of the imperius but considering his father never taught him much of anything due to Tom's lies.

His eyes wandered every inch of her body that he could see. He felt like a creep doing it, but he wanted to remember every inch of her to make sure if something ever happened to her that he would be able to know if there was a new mark on her or if it was already there.

Her breathing was steady and she was relaxed in his arms. All he wanted was to make sure she was safe. He knew that he would eventually have to talk to her then his father in order to make sure that was possible. He knew Draco marked Sky and Sky him, and knew the exact reason why. The same reason he wanted to do it to Pansy. Before he brought it up to Pansy, he wanted to do it the right way and ask Sky. He would ask Melina, but from what Sky has mentioned, Melina wouldn't allow it. Melina believed it to be a way to be owned and controlled regardless of the reason for it.

Pansy was the definition of perfect in his eyes; someone he could see himself having a life with. For him, that wasn't something he had ever truly seen as an option in life. Throughout the months they had spent together, she had managed to open not only his eyes but his heart. He believed that what he felt for Samantha was love, but it was more of the feeling of not being lonely. But Pansy– she makes him feel loved and makes him want to love.

He guarded his emotions for the longest, considering everything he had been put through in his childhood, but he finally let her in. Mattheo was worried about her using it to her advantage at first, not knowing what she was truly capable of but she let him soar through her thoughts and memories to prove that she had no ill intentions with him. He even let her into his mind so she could see his thoughts on her. When Sky and Draco saw in their memories, seeing how happy they both were with one another, Mattheo could tell that Sky approved even considering the circumstances on how things happened between them.

"Matty, are you okay?" Pansy asked him. He was so focused on etching every mark on her into his brain, that he didn't realize she had woken up.

He smiled at her, "I'm perfect. How're you, angel?"

"Are you sure? You seemed zoned out more than usual."

"Yeah, I was just making sure to remember every mark on you, that way if anyone touches you, I'll know."

She scooted closer to him, gazing into his eyes, "When I'm with you, I know I'm safe. I know my sister will be right there next to you. I'm shocked she let me out of her sight this long."  They both let out a slight laugh.

Little did Pansy know that her sister was dealing with her own mess and wasn't even at Malfoy Manor. Another thing Pansy and everyone else didn't know is that Sky ensured Pansy couldn't leave the manor by putting an anti-apparition and leaving spell on Pansy while she hugged her sister.

"Trust me, I think everyone would be ready to.."

The words were so jumbled in his head, he didn't realize that he didn't say a complete sentence or one that even made sense.

"Are you sure you're okay? That didn't make any sense," she questioned him and sat herself up next to him. She was concerned about his well being. "Is being here around my sister awkward or just being in Malfoy Manor?"

"Pans– I have to tell you something."

She started to freak out. She began to overthink everything she would have possibly done to make him this way.
