"Billie chuckled as she held out her hand. "Don't worry "I'll teach you how to dance. I mean its the least I can do, after all you are the reason I could keep dancing by helping me with my math exam"

Her eyes pierced right through Kat's and the corners of her lips broke into a smile as soon as Kat took her hand. Billies gently moved her hands into the the right position; one hand in hers and the other one around her waist. She smiled shyly. "don't overthink this okay? Just follow me." Billie explained as she started guiding Kat. The music from the party was quietly playing in the background.

Kat tried to play it cool, but for some reason she was super nervous. They started to dance and Kat turned out to be a horrible dancer, constantly stumbling over her own feet and only looking down.

"Focus only on me okay?" Billie smiled as she gently lifted up Kats chin.

Taken aback, Kat got lost in her soft blue eyes once again and finally managed to blend out the world around her. With increasing confidence Kat found her rhythm and started moving in sync with the music. The soft glow of the lanterns threw shadows which danced along with them. As they moved together, the distance between them decreased more and more until it was non-existent. Billie's hand found its way on Kat's waist, pulling her even closer. Kat's breath hitched at the contact. Their eyes met again, and for a moment, it felt like they were the only two people in the world. Billie smiled, as she gently brushed one of Kat's loose hair strays behind her ear.

"See, told you you can do it," Billie whispered.

Kat couldn't help but glance down at Billies lips, she was so close to her, only a few inches apart, only a few inches till they would touch, a few inches till she would feel her soft lips again on hers.

Feeling guilty about her own thoughts Kat looked back up, expecting to meet Billie's eyes again, however, instead, she caught Billie looking down on her lips as well. Kat gulped heavily when their eyes met again. Unsure what she should do, she flashed Billie a week smile. She kept dancing, almost in trance, leaning in just a little bit closer, but not close enough to touch. Billie mirrored her and leaned in just enough so their foreheads touched lightly. The air around them was filled with so much tension that it became unbearable for Kat. She wasn't sure why, but without fully realising, she almost automatically started slowly leaning. Before their lips could touch Billie suddenly stopped and pulled away.

"Okay. I loose," Billie breathed upset, her hands falling down from Kats waist

"What do you mean?" Kat asked puzzled.

"I loose this game of whoever tells the other they like them first looses. I lost okay? I can't do this anymore."

"what do you mean," Kat asked with a shaking voice taking 2 steps back. "Y-You're dating my brother."

Billies voice softened, her voice filled with vulnerability as she was opening up: "I know," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper "But I know you feel it too, Kat. There is something between us and there always has been whether you want to admit it or not."

Billie's words hung heavily in the air, a tension thickening between them. Kat's mind was racing, trying to comprehend what Billie just said. Her heart pounded in her chest, "No," She shook her head. "No, that's not true." she whispered, her voice barely hearable.

"So you're really gonna pretend like you didn't just wanna kiss me? Again." Billie raised an eyebrow.

"No, you're wrong" Kat said now a lot louder with her hands running though her head.

A hint of sadness creeped up Billies features. "Kat, please don't deny it. I can't do it any longer, it's eating me up. You can say everything you want, but your eyes can never lie. They are like a window to your soul."
