ANANYA

"Ananya,here is your files"
Asifa said.

"Thank you so much for bringing it on"
I said before taking the dozens of files from her and kept it on the table.

"Mention not"
She said making me smile.

She left the cabin and I got back on my chair.

Sighing to myself I started checking the files and then did some paper works.

About yesterday I think everyone is convinced about Arhan and mom liked him very much as well as aunt.

Dad didn't said much but I think he accepted him.I don't know about my own brother he didn't talked about it or more like he didn't want to I don't know why.

I heard a knock on my door and it was Asra who entered the cabin as soon as I granted permission.

"Yes?"

"Don't wanna have lunch?"
She asked raising her brows.

I nodded and rose up from my seat and went with her to the canteen.

We both walked to the canteen talking about random things.

Doctors in white coats mingled with nurses and administrative staff, all seeking a brief respite from their demanding schedules.

Some doctors chatted animatedly, their laughter punctuating the air. They dissected complex cases, debated treatment options, and shared snippets of their lives.

Others sat in solitude, lost in thought, their eyes scanning medical journals or patient files.

As I entered with Asra, my friend and fellow resident, I noticed Kiara waving from a corner.

Kiara, the vivacious pediatrician with a penchant for colorful scarves, was always a welcome sight.

We made our way towards her, weaving through the maze of tables.

"Here you both are!" Kiara exclaimed, her eyes sparkling. She grabbed a plate and began assembling a feast—curry, rice, and a side of crispy papad.

Doctors queued up behind her, their trays laden with sandwiches, and salads etc. The aroma of spices hung in the air.

Just as I was about to take my own plate, a worker behind the counter caught my eye. His expression was odd—part curiosity, part apprehension. I ignored it, focusing on the food. But then he spoke.

"Ma'am," he said, glancing at Kiara, Asra, and me, "We have a special dish today—for you—I mean three."

Kiara's eyes widened. "Oh, really? What is it?" she asked, her excitement contagious.

"Please allow me to take you all there," the worker said, motioning toward a secluded corner.

Kiara was about to dash off, but Asra held her back. Her tone turned authoritative and suspicious. "Wait," she said, "Why us? There are so many doctors here."
