Mila sat across from Rebekah at the cafe down the road from the garden center the next afternoon. She was on lunch and had asked Max if she could meet with Rebekah so she could ask her about her relationship with him.

Ethan had disappeared a few hours ago, telling her he needed to make some phone calls, let Maverick out, and he'd be back after her lunch. She couldn't wait to see him again.

She'd enjoyed their time in the shower so much yesterday. She felt like she was living in a dream with him, he was so sweet and attentive to her. She was glad he'd told her to get out of her own head. He'd been right, and now they were past the naked barrier.

And Ethan.. she couldn't get enough of looking at him. He was absolutely gorgeous. She'd wanted to touch him but she'd held back. Somehow she had a feeling he would have let her too. He'd been completely aroused the entire time he'd been in the shower with her. It was a major confidence boost for her, knowing he wanted her like that.

She'd been thinking about him all day, standing there naked in her shower, washing her hair. Something simple like that had been a massive turn on. She'd been so horny when he'd left, but she'd been too shy to say anything about it. She wondered if he'd known and had a feeling he did.

She'd taken her time getting out because of it. Then she'd gone back to his bed and while he'd kissed her, and those kisses, now that she's experienced them on a different level, were amazing, they'd left her wanting more from him.

Max had been keeping an eye on her since Ethan had disappeared, and had asked Rebekah to come up for lunch to meet with her.

"So how are things with you and Ethan?" Rebekah asked.

"Good. He's so sweet. He's.. I just feel safe with him." She smiled. She loved being around him.

"It's the mate bond. But he will protect you with his life. That's why they've been searching so much for Owen," Rebekah said.

"How long did you guys wait to.." She touched her neck.

"Three weeks," Rebekah said.

"And you knew?" Three weeks didn't seem that long.

"Yeah. I just knew. I don't regret it either. I adore him and he adores me," Rebekah smiled happily.

Mila nodded. She was starting to already have a hard time imagining her life without Ethan. "Did it hurt?"

"At first, but then it felt amazing." Rebekah smiled. "Has he talked to you about it at all?"

"He just mentioned when, sort of. We haven't really talked too much about it yet," she admitted.

"Did he tell you he'll be able to feel your emotions?"

"No, he didn't say that." Why hadn't he told her that? But then, they really hadn't talked about sex at all.

"You can block him out, but he'll prefer you didn't. He can also feel when you're.. horny," she said with a smirk.

Mila's eyes widened. That was definitely interesting. She new Rebekah had been with Max for three years now, and she could tell how happy they were together.

"Did you even think about rejecting him?" Mila asked her.

"No. I just.. the thought of it broke my heart. I couldn't put him through that. There are no second chances," Rebekah said quietly.

Mila frowned at that. Hadn't Ethan's sister, Noelle told her that Nick was her second chance? She thought so, but maybe she'd heard her wrong.

"Mila, one more thing. His need to mark you is going to eventually consume him, so don't keep him waiting too long," Rebekah told her as she hugged her good bye.
