Ethan woke slowly. Mila's scent invaded his senses and he breathed it in deeply. She was so intoxicating. He could feel her pressed up against him. He opened his eyes. It was dark out still, and he wondered how long she'd been there. The entire time? He supposed it depended on how long he'd been asleep.

He slipped out of the bed and walked into the bathroom, then walked back into the bedroom. He grudgingly put back on the clothes he'd had on before. He needed to go home and get some new clothes.

Home. He was so ready to go home. Home to Pennsylvania. He needed to talk to Mila and find out what she wanted to do. He wasn't even sure what day it was. Was she still working? He knew he hadn't been gone two weeks.

He left the room and followed his nose to a meeting room and poked his head inside. Dominic was seated at the table, doing something on his laptop. Ethan walked inside.

"Glad to see you're back, Ethan." Dominic looked up at him.

"Thanks for finding me," he said.

He smiled and nodded.

"What day is it?"

"It's Saturday," Dominic muttered, then looked up at Ethan. "You've been sleeping for over twenty-four hours."

A whole week of his life gone. Not a huge deal when he could live as long as he wanted to, but still.. "Does anyone have a key to my apartment?"

"Yup, your sister went and talked to your landlord and got one. I happen to have it right here since your father had a feeling you'd want to go there when you woke up and get some clothes. I also have access to a vehicle, and some free time," Dominic said.

Ethan smiled. "I'd appreciate it."

Dominic stood and they left the pack house. The night was cool, and Ethan followed Dominic out to the car and got in to the passenger seat. "What happened to my car?"

"They had it towed here and had a new key made for it," Dominic said, pulling off pack lands and heading towards Ethan's apartment.

"I'm probably going to leave it with the pack when I leave Texas. I definitely don't need it," he muttered.

"Not a bad idea," Dominic said.

Ethan stared out into the night as they cruised along until Dominic finally pulled in the parking lot.

"Is this it?"

"Yup."

Dominic parked the car and they both got out and headed inside, him handing the keys to Ethan.

Ethan stopped at his door, opened it up and walked inside. He could tell Mila hadn't been here in several days, though there were three other scents present, including his father's.

"Nice place," Dominic muttered.

"Noelle found it," Ethan said as he headed back to his room.

"Not surprised." He'd stopped in the living room.

Ethan quickly changed clothes, then grabbed his bag and tossed a few outfits in along with Mila's book she'd left on his nightstand, before looking around the room. He had a feeling he wasn't going to be here much more. He'd enjoyed all of his time there though. This was where he'd first mated Mila. Where he'd made his first claim on her. He needed to mate her again soon. Reassure himself that she was still his. He felt that ache again and clenched his jaw.

He headed into the bathroom and stopped to brush his teeth, then tossed the rest of what he needed into his bag. He headed back out to the living room. "Ready?"
