"Ma'am?"

A soft shaking of her arm caused her eyelids to flutter open and Riley looked up at the paramedic who was standing next to her. "What happened?"

"We're not sure. Someone found you unconscious in a dressing room," the paramedic told her. "We're taking you to the hospital for now. How are you feeling?"

"My head hurts," she muttered.

"You have a nasty contusion on your head," he told her.

"My cousin?"

"Was she with you?" He asked.

"She was in the dressing room with me. She has a broken wrist. I was helping her try on clothes," she said. What had happened?

"There was no one else there. One of the store staff members found you in the dressing room on the floor," he told her.

Her mind was reeling. There was no way Ethan, Isaac and Mila would have left her there alone. She breathed out slowly.

"We're almost at the hospital," he told her and she nodded.

It took two hours before Riley was finally in a room. She had a mild concussion, but otherwise was fine. She still had all of her things as well, along with all of Mila's bags which was odd. Ethan had them before. The doctor had told her someone needed to come get her and he'd release her.

She tried calling Isaac, Ethan and Mila but none of them answered and all three phones were shut off.

She still couldn't wrap her head around Isaac, Ethan and Mila leaving her. Especially Isaac. He wouldn't leave her. Which meant something had happened.

It wasn't hard to decide who to call to come pick her up. She found Rebekah's contact info and pressed the call button.

"Hey, Riley, how's it going?"

Riley hadn't talked to Rebekah since she'd found out she was mated to Isaac. Just a few days before, but it seemed like much longer. "Hey Rebekah. Can you come pick me up?"

"Sure? Where are you?"

She could hear the suspicion in her sister's voice. "I'm at the hospital."

"Why?"

"I have a concussion. Something happened. I'm in room 402. Bring Max," Riley told her.

Rebekah was quiet for a moment, and Riley could imagine her rubbing her eyes. "Okay. We'll be there shortly."

"Thanks Rebekah." She disconnected the call and sat back to wait. She was growing impatient of the entire thing and this whole hospital process had taken entirely too long.

Rebekah showed up with Max twenty minutes later and walked into her room. "What happened?"

"I'm not sure, but I'll tell you what I know when we get out of here," Riley said.

Rebekah nodded.

It took Riley another thirty minutes to get released, and she was beyond thrilled when they finally were inside Max's truck.
Both Rebekah and Max turned around to look at her.

"Spill, Riley," Max said.

"Do you guys know that Ethan has a twin?" Riley asked them.

"Yes," replied Max.

"No? He does?" Rebekah asked in surprise.

"Yeah. He has an identical twin named Isaac. I've never met him though. I just know that he and his twin are the youngest of the Alpha King's sons." Max smiled at his mate. "Why are you telling us that?"
