Mila woke slowly, becoming first aware of the scents in the room, the most overwhelming one belonging to the man who was her mate. She could feel the tingles on her skin where her bare body was touching his. They were much more electrifying now, more intense and more pleasurable.

She opened her eyes and looked at Ethan. He was asleep, his head turned towards her. His hair was messy, his handsome face relaxed. He was gorgeous, and she was even more drawn to him than she'd been before, which surprised her. She hadn't thought it possible.

She glanced at the time and frowned. It was 3am and Ethan would probably sleep for a while longer. She was starving though and slipped carefully out of the bed so she wouldn't wake him.

She threw on some clothes, then slipped out of their bedroom and down the hall to the kitchen. She felt weird looking around inside, since it wasn't hers, but she was starving.

'You haven't eaten in almost twenty-four hours.'

Mila jumped. 'Leia! I have to get used to you being there.'

'All good. Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you,' Leia said.

'It's alright.' Mila found something to eat and smiled happily at her wrist, glad to be out of the cast.

She ate quickly, hoping no one would be upset with her for eating what she had, then washed the dishes up, and left them on the counter. She had no idea where they went.

She headed back into the bedroom and slipped off her clothes and crawled back into bed. Even though she wasn't tired, it was where she wanted to be. With him. This wonderful man of hers. The man she was in love with.

He sighed softly in his sleep and rolled towards her. His eyes opened and a smile touched his lips. He pulled her against him, snuggling into her neck. "Did you leave?"

"I was starving," she murmured. "I didn't mean to wake you."

"It's okay. How are you feeling?" he asked her.

"Really good," she said.

"All the bruising is gone. I noticed that when I was washing you earlier," Ethan said with a yawn.

"Go back to sleep, Ethan," she said softly, cupping his cheek. "I'm not going anywhere."

He nodded against her neck and a moment later, he was back asleep.

Mila snuggled into him, and fell back asleep herself. She woke a few hours later to find bright sunlight coming into the room.

"Good morning," Ethan said. He was still snuggled up against her, holding her against him.

"Good morning," she murmured against his neck.

"Isaac and Riley are coming today. He texted me last night," Ethan said.

"Really? What time?" She pulled away to look at him.

He gave her a lazy smile. "Not for a bit yet."

"So we have time to complete the mating bond?"

Ethan studied her for a moment. "You have the most beautiful eyes. Yeah, we have time."

"Good, because I want you like I've never wanted you before," she said.

His eyes glowed brightly. His half aroused state that he'd been experiencing since he'd first woken up with her went into overdrive at her words.  He watched her eyes glow brightly as she stared up at him. "Mila, you're mine," he whispered.

"And you're mine," she said.

He dropped his lips to hers and kissed her passionately, his tongue demanding entrance into her mouth as he tipped her face up to him as his kiss became more demanding.
