"Alright, where did you come from?"

Young Raphael, moved by the trustworthy appearance of Father Pedro, hesitated as he recounted the events that had taken place at the Black Night Church.

"And... Dad, my dad..."

"Oh... "

He knelt down and embraced Raphael, holding him close.

"It must have been tough."

Young Raphael closes his eyes. It was a warmth he couldn't forget.

After putting the child to bed and cautiously slipping outside, Father Pedro stood next to the deputy who was waiting for him, sighing sadly.

"It seems there are still heretics these days."

"What should we do now?"

"For now, let's take care of those children."

"But, Father... we're not exactly well off."

"Children are children, no matter what. Money can't change that. And..."

He glanced at young Raphael sleeping through the crack in the open door.

"How could I abandon that child?"

Perhaps Father Pedro of 1992 wouldn't have thought much of it. But Father Pedro of 2020 would have suddenly recalled Raphael's words and concluded that there was something sinister behind the events, and the Black Night Church was undoubtedly a cult of devil worship. The outcome might not have been good, but...

(To Father Raphael.)

After the flashback, Father Raphael reads the letter left by Father Pedro.

Encountering Father Pedro during medical volunteer work in Africa, Raphael realized that Father Pedro didn't remember him as anything other than a Korean foreign priest. He had forgotten about the child he had encountered when he was young.

The content of the letter briefly inquires about his well-being and reports on the strange incidents happening nearby.

(I have discovered that there is a heretical cult behind these incidents. I can no longer just stand by and watch. I need Father's help.)

As Father Raphael reads the last sentence, a small crack appears in his expression.

(...Lastly, Father Leo is like my son. I know it's a shameless request, but please help that child not to stray.)

Reading the sentence that seems to foreshadow his own death, Father Raphael slowly puts down the letter.

When Yoo Yeon-seo acted out this part, he remembered her conversation with Director Choi Sung-moon.

"Here, Raphael's emotions are important. Yeon-seo, what do you think Raphael feels towards Father Pedro?"

"Well, I think Raphael is someone with emotional deficiencies, not mentally strong. So, he would feel betrayed, initially, right?"

Director Choi's eyes sparkled. Yeon-seo had become an actor who could communicate well, unlike before. He had matured so much that he even met separately to apologize for what happened during the 'Doll' shoot when they first started shooting.

What kind of change in mindset had occurred... the director continued, as if urging him to continue.

"If he's 7 years old, he'd still remember, right? For some reason, Raphael was adopted abroad while Leo stayed with Father Pedro, right?"

"That's right."

"Not only did he lose his mother and become socially disadvantaged, but he also lost his father and was chased away from the church he fled to, and then adopted abroad. There, even in the adoptive family, he would have faced discrimination as an Asian."
