Ch 245:
Q. Do you know that you're handsome?
"Yes, I do."
With his immediate answer, Choi Joon-young responded as if he were an MC at a rap battle, and the audience laughed.
"If I said I didn't know, I'd be called a liar, right?"
"True. That would be shameless."
Yoo Yeon-seo's witty remark was met by Choi Joon-young, leading straight to the next question.
Q. Which part of your face are you most confident about?
"Hmm... my nose?"
Choi Joon-young encouraged him to show his side profile. Yoo Yeon-seo turned his head. Styled perfectly for the show, his close-up filled the big screen, and fans screamed.
'I wonder if their voices will be okay after all this shouting?'
A stray thought made him chuckle. He'd been nervous about the questions, but if they were all like this, he could answer a hundred of them.
Q. Cat vs. Dog?
"Cat."
Q. What's your best dish?
"Pasta?"
Q. What's your favorite color?
"It changes, but recently I like purple."
The questions were simple, and his responses were quick. There were so many questions from the fan café that they had to keep a fast pace.
Q. Do you like your mom or dad more?
"Alright! You have to answer this carefully!"
Sometimes silly questions came up. The big screen showed Yoo Geon-min and Choi Yoo-jin.
"I'll go with both."
"Oh, that's boring."
"You know we're short on time, right? Let's keep it moving."
Though a tricky question, they couldn't delay with a five-hour fan meeting packed with mini-dramas and song performances. They moved on to the next question.
Yoo Yeon-seo glanced at the screen. Yoo Geon-min and Choi Yoo-jin had expected a mention of their names, and as he dodged the question, they looked disappointed. The phrase 'couples resemble each other' came to mind as their shocked expressions were nearly identical.
Q. How do you choose scripts? Do you get a 'must-do' feeling?
"Oh, I'm curious about this one, too," Choi Joon-young turned to Yoo Yeon-seo, who took the mic.
"It's usually like that."
"What draws you to a project? The character, the story, or the world?"
"I'm drawn to characters with something in common with me, or to new roles I haven't played before."
For "Baekhoham" and "Dreaming," there were parts similar to Kang Jin-hoo's life. In "Season 2 of Those Lacking," both Tae-oh and Yoo Yeon-seo share a certain edge.
If a character had similarities to himself, he'd feel naturally drawn to it. Additionally, he enjoyed new roles or worlds, like a priest in "Demon" or a monarchist in "National Treasure."
"May I ask a question, too?"
"Sure."
"You're known for investing and producing projects. What if you find a script you like, but another production company already owns it?"
