Mia's alarm woke her up 2 minutes ago, she had been staring at the ceiling, pretending she didn't get a call from LAPD at 5:30, claiming that since she had entered the city, and finished her education early, (technically it's true, but according to the records Roy made, she has an undergrad degree in forensics, and a masters in law. Due to her fast learning and enhanced knowledge she did a bunch online college courses, that went faster than usual because her mother hacked into the harvard website) the government wants her to enroll in an internship somewhere, and LAPD was the first to hear of this, therefore they offered for her to come into the station today, so she can pick either becoming a forensic assistant to their current one, work with an officer named Decker, or shadow and assist one of LAPD's current bounty hunters.
Honestly working with the cops sounded like a waste of her time, but she needed to throw suspicion off herself anyway. She can blend in this way. So she finally got off her ass, after an excruciatingly long 30 seconds, and got changed for the occasion.

She already knew that Maze was the LAPD's bounty hunter, so she was going to ask for that internship when she got there. She was supposed to read a list of benefits for each potential internship, and chose one. The person in charge of that department would basically show her the ropes that day. She would also have to bring her 'legal' papers, with all the things 'Mia Sloan' has accomplished.
