It was a few days after Chris, and I decided we wanted to be together, and I was getting off of work and pulled up to the gate at his house.

I didn't have the code because I didn't want to sound pushy in asking for it. I buzzed the gate, and a voice came through.

"Can I help you?" The female voice asked.

"Um...I'm Bexley. I'm here to see Chris." I said.

There was no other communication, but the gate opened. I was nervous as I drove down the driveway...who was the girl?

I got to the front door, and it opened, Chris was leaning on the doorframe smiling. I got out of the car, and he saw the worry etched onto my face.

"Don't think the worst, Megan answered the intercom because I wasn't able to at the time. I was making us dinner." Chris said and I slightly nodded. Once I was standing in front of him, he leaned down and gave me a soft, short and sweet kiss. I smiled at him as we broke apart.

"Making us dinner huh?" I asked and he smiled as we walked in the house, and I was greeted by Dodger.

"Hey bud." I said.

"Yeah, Ma showed me how to make her chicken alfredo so I'm being ambitious and trying it." Chris said as we reached the living room and I saw a woman packing up her bag.

"So, this is her, convention elevator girl."

I just glared at the woman, "Everyone else calls me Bexley, it's shorter." Chris snickered and kissed the side of my head, placing an arm around my shoulder.

"Right Bexley." She said.

"Megan, be nice." Chris warned and she sighed.

"Well, you going to make any kind of statement or post?" Megan asked and Chris looked at me.

"Can we talk about it because I have to think about my job. I don't want people coming in because I'm just with you." I said and Chris nodded.

"We'll talk and decide. People can also leave my private life alone too" Chris said, and I smiled up at him. He leaned down and gave me a small kiss.

"Right well...I will work on your schedule and send you the updated one soon." Megan said and walked out. I looked up at Chris.

"I don't think she liked me much." I smiled and Chris sighed as we walked towards the kitchen.

"Megan is just very cautious of who is in my life." Chris said and I half nodded. He poured me a glass of wine and I smiled. I took a sniff of the air since he was cooking, and it smelled good.

"Can't wait to try your cooking." I said and he smiled back at me as he put the garlic bread in the oven. "Do you need any help?" I asked and he shook his head.

"No way! You worked all day, I want to pamper you." Chris said and I smiled as I took a sip of my wine.

"I won't deny being pampered." I said and Chris smiled.

As he continued cooking, we just talked some small talk and then we set the table to sit down and eat.

We dished out the food and everything looked amazing.

"Chris, thank you for dinner, this was amazing of you to do." I said and he nodded.

"I was more than happy to do it." Chris said.

He watched me to take my first bite. I got a forkful of pasta, sauce and a piece of chicken. I took the bite, and it was all I could do to not make a face. It wasn't great, it wasn't even good. I chewed and swallowed but Chris was looking at me.

"Oh god, it's horrible, isn't it?" Chris asked.

"It's just not -..." I was saying as Chris took a bite and instantly spit it out in the napkin he picked up from his lap.

"Oh my god! This is horrible! Why did you even try it?!" Chris asked and I just smirked at him.

"You were so proud of making dinner, I didn't want to be the asshole girlfriend." I said. Chris walked over to me, leaned down and was close to my face.

"Sweetie, be the honest girlfriend then. You know it was bad." Chris said and I smiled.

"It was really bad." I giggled. He sighed and hung his head.

"I don't know what I did wrong." Chris said as we started clearing off the plates. We kept the only edible thing which was garlic bread. I smiled at Chris,

"Do you have any mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce and pizza toppings?" I asked and Chris nodded.

"Yeah, why?" Chris asked and I smiled kissing his cheek and grabbed the garlic bread.

We were sitting on the couch eating the garlic bread pizza I made for us, and Chris smiled.

"Where did you learn to make these?" Chris asked then took a bite of the one piece.

"My dad, we didn't have much growing up, so he made sure to always make food fun and what kid doesn't love garlic bread or pizza." I said and Chris smiled.

"Well, it's amazing." Chris said and I smiled as I took a bit.

After we were done eating, we cuddled on the couch and watched some prime time tv when we figured out, we liked the same show.

"So, can we talk about what Megan said today? About making the announcement?" I asked speaking up.

"Bex, I will go with your lead. You don't want it announced, we won't, I'm okay with keeping my life private." Chris said and I smiled.

"I just have to worry about the shop. I have put my heart and soul into that place, and I don't want people coming in just because they think you'll be there." I said and Chris shook his head.

"I don't want that to happen either. We don't have to make anything official for anyone but ourselves." Chris said and I smiled up at him where I was cuddled into his side.

"Good, I don't want it to be for anyone but us." I said and he smiled.

We went back to watching tv until our shows were over. I stretched and got up from the couch.

"I should probably head home. I have work tomorrow and I'm actually training some store clerks so I can take more time off." I said and Chris smiled. He stood up and pulled me into him.

His arms were around my waist and my hands rested on his chest. "Why don't you just stay here? It's late and you can head to work from here tomorrow." Chris said.

"I would if I had clothes Chris but if I stay here, I have to get up earlier so I could go home and change. Also, do you really think we are there already? I mean this was our first official date." I said and Chris leaned his forehead on my shoulder, causing me to chuckle.

"No, we aren't..." Chris admitted.

"Walk me to my car?" I questioned and he nodded as he took my hand, and we headed outside. Once we got to my car, Chris gently pinned me against it, leaned in and passionately kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and held him close to me.

We broke apart and I smiled at Chris.

"Call me tomorrow?" I asked and he nodded.

"You bet." Chris said as I smiled. I unlocked my car and got in it. I waved at Chris once I was inside the car. He waved back, I pulled out of the driveway fighting the urge to turn my car around and just go stay with Chris.
