21 - Damon

A few days later I was back at work, since the pap walk photos had been released amazingly things had slowed down with us. Now I was still being talked about online but Chris was trying to keep me away from it as much as he could.

There were rumors going around about how we met and one even was that I was a crazed fan who stalked him and then he fell in love with my determination and was now dating me. This is the one that made Chris and I laugh the most.

I was working in the shop one day when the door opened and I looked up seeing Damon again.

"Seriously? Can't you just leave me alone?!" I asked. He walked up to the counter and looked behind it at the empty dog bed.

"No Dodger today? Chris must be home." Damon said and I just looked at him.

"What does it matter to you?" I asked.

"Just making conversation." Damon said.

"Conversations that arent needed. Can you please just leave and leave me and Chris alone now please." I said.

"Now? What are you talking about?" Damon asked.

"You think I don't know it was you who released those photos of me and Dodger all the times something got released. You basically gave yourself up when you said I was still sharing my location with you. Damon, it's time to stop." I snapped.

"Oh come on Bex, you can never prove it was me. You just think it was."

"No one else cares about my relationship like you seem to? I mean you broke up with me, you have made it your goal to try to break my heart and ruin me ever since!" I growled.

"I'm doing what I have to do. People need to know a girl from a convention weaseled her way into his heart and is going to destroy him eventually." Damon countered.

"Destroy him? Are you serious?! I love Chris and he loves me." I said and Damon laughed. "Chris and I are happy and just want to be a normal couple and happy."

"Normal couple Bexley, come on! You are dating Captain America, you are dating the Sexiest Man Alive! What makes you think he will continue to want you?!" Damon asked and I just looked at him.

"What will get you to stop? Would it make you happy if I broke up with Chris and stayed single forever while you got married?!" I asked and Damon looked at me shocked.

"You know I'm getting married?" Damon asked.

"I do. I can do my own investigating. Damon, I need you to just go live your life and stay out of mine. I talked Chris and his management team out of taking legal action against you but if you don't leave me alone I will have no other choice." I explained.

Damon scoffed, "You think you have it made don't you? Perfect boyfriend, perfect life, money, fame...all of it. You finally got everything you wanted." Damon said.

"Excuse me? What makes you think I wanted all of this with Chris? Even if Chris was normal and not an actor I would still be interested in him. You want to know why, because he is kind, caring, loving, cares more for others and doesn't take what he has in his life for granted. Clearly he also doesn't treat people he swears to love as playthings. This is what I wanted Damon. I wanted someone who actually loves me and wasn't just using me to get his fathers company, yet in turn it turns out that wasn't going to help you and you had to make a new life without me." I ranted, I was thankful the store was empty. "I just want you to go about you life and leave me and Chris out of it. We just want to move on and be happy." I continued.

"How much do you think Chris really loves you?! He wont even release your name with pictures?" Damon chuckled.

I laughed even harder, "I asked him not to release my name! I asked to be kept put of it! You put my name out there and he worked on redacting it as much as he could but his team couldn't get to all of it. We decided together when we released the photos that I would just be called girlfriend. Stop trying to ruin this and me with Chris. Damon, you will never succeed." I said and he just looked at me.

"We'll see about that." Damon snapped and went to leave.

"Damon, you keep coming after me, Chris, or anything else in our inner circle I will have no choice but to take legal action against you. Please don't make me do this..." I said and he just looked at me. Something about his demeanor proved to me he wasn't done.

Once he walked out and I knew he was gone I pulled out my cellphone.

Bex: Hey are you busy?

Chris: Never enough to not talk to you.

Bex: I just had a visit from someone at the shop. Damon stopped by.

Chris: I'm on my way to you.

I rolled my eyes.

Bex: Don't worry about it Chris, he is gone already but I think he still had plans for something...

Chris: Is it time to take action?

Bex: I think so. I didn't want to but I think it's the only way he will stop.

Chris: Okay well in 2 days I have to meet with the management team about some comic cons and other appearances coming up. You should go with me and we can get this covered.

Bex: Is this meeting here?

Chris: Yeah, downtown Boston. We can go to the meeting and then spend the day in Boston together.

Bex: Sounds amazing.

Chris: Good, so it's a date.

Bex: Our very first one...

Chris: Well you have been coming over and we went on the walk together.

Bex: At home dates and the walk was a staged pap walk. This will be our first official time together.

Chris: Well...I think I have a plan.

Bex: Oh you do, do you?

Chris: How do you feel about baseball?
