Chapter Six

So I didn't go to Ariana's  to make peace with her. Guilty. I had a lot of things to do. Begging a girl to dance with me knowing she is dying to do it isn't at the top of my list.

Ariana is a good hearted person. She cares about others which means she cares about Rubi and will ultimately have to show up for her. For their friendship. She's a loyal girl, she won't let Rubi down so it was no surprise to me when I saw her walk in through those doors.

Her hair was in a high ponytail bouncing with each step she took, leaving nothing but determination behind that walk... and

Kayden.

Surprisingly Kayden was here too, I wasn't expecting him at all. As far as I know soccer season has started which would be his perfect excuse to not show up and not look as much of a dickhead since he warned Rubi he would stop coming after soccer season started.

Then why is he here? And why did he show up with Ariana?

I watch them walk together, I wasn't the only one we all did.

It was as if Kanye and Kim Kardashian had just walked in the door and with the way Ariana was dressed  the resemblance was comical. Brown biker shorts that hugged her round ass and with the dramatic steps she took it lifted up her beige sweatshirt giving me the perfect view but also leaving me wanting more, followed by the sunglasses they both wore at the top of their heads

They both went up to Rubi, I couldn't hear what they were saying but I wasn't stupid to not know what was going on.

        "Sorry guys but not happening" I screamed across the room making them turn to me

"This is none of your business dude" Kayden narrows his eyes at me taking a step forward as I make my way to them

What the fuck is wrong with him?  I've never seen him act like this. He's always been so dull and bland .

I met Kayden here, through Rubi and I know Fabio and him are good friends that's why both of them are called the strawberries of the group, which means they're the annoying, boring, sour, grandpa ones of the group but sometimes they can be what the girls like to call sweet.

Kayden and I get along but not really. I hate the dude's attitude, he's rude, sarcastic and passive aggressive. But for some strange reason every girl in this room likes him despite also not knowing how to dance and the awful disinterest he shows when he's here. It's insulting to every one of us who wants to make this a nice enjoyable experience.

My sister was a bitch when she was here I have no trouble admitting that, and that's why she got kicked out yet this dude complains and bitches every second he's here and he's praised for it, it's bullshit.

So if I have to make his time here a living hell even more so than he makes it for himself and everyone else then I will. Especially now that he's trying to take Ariana from me, because I know that's what they're trying to do. That's what that walk from Ariana meant and why he walked behind and then next to her like her loyal puppy.

   "I said whatever Ariana and you are planning is not happening "

Ariana laughed "And since when are you the one making decisions here? As far as I know this is Rubi's dance and if it's not and it's now yours then I'm out completely" she smiles innocently looking straight at me

Challenging me. I know she was because  there was nothing innocent about that smile she gave me.
Inside she was having the best evil character laugh of her life and Kayden standing beside her was enjoying every bit of this moment just like Ansel was. I could see him from the corner of my eye. He thinks he won this bet, jokes on him I never lose.

"Not my dance pretty thing but you're dancing with me so come here" I winked at her motioning my head for her to come my way but all I got in return was white eyes
"Carson quit it!" Rubi screamed at me, nothing I'm not used to. "Okay look Carson and Kendra you two partner up and-"
"Not happening, I'm dancing with Ariana if not then forget about me being a part of this" I threatened and everyone's eyes went wide except Kayden's who wants to eat me alive
"Why the fuck do you want to dance with her?" He says now standing in front of me and the anger building inside of him made this a whole lot more fun for me
"Mmm maybe because she sucks and she needs someone like me to guide her not someone like you who also sucks"
"CARSON!" Rubi was now furious at me "That's it. That's my final decision you dance with Kendra and Ariana and Kayden dance together if they don't work together then you guys switch again deal?"
"Deal!" Ariana screams her eyes beaming with excitement as her stupid plan worked out perfectly.

As far as I knew these two weren't friends but she grabs Kayden and he immediately melts into her as she gives him a hug.

A hug I know she's given him before because the way he wraps his arms around her waist and the way her feet are quick to leave the floor are too comfortable to be the first time they hug like this.

Okay baby, let's see how well you do with those two left feet of yours .

        "This is all your fucking fault Carson" Kendra pulls me outside. Mentally I thank her for getting me away from them. I was staring at them and that's isn't a good look for me. But on the outside I look at her disinterested in what she has to say although the rage takes over her eyes as she looks at me

I laugh knowing I'll get a bigger reaction from her "Kayden was going to pull this shit regardless if I did anything to Ariana or not. He wanted to dance with her the first minute she stepped into this room so don't blame this on me"

She pushes me "And you gave them the perfect opportunity to ask Rubi for this switch!"

      "He's not going to fall in love with you no matter how much time you spend dancing with him" I shove her head lightly and she's quick to slap my hand away "Get that through your head. When a man doesn't like you he just doesn't. No matter if you get naked in front of him "

Her eyes went from baby blue to baby cry and I almost laugh harder than before. She can't be serious. She couldn't have possibly thought that Kayden was somehow going to fall in love with her just because Rubi wanted to play Cupid and purposefully partnered them up.
  
     "Did Rubi say that'll work?" I ask her truly amused how evil can she be? And how stupid is Kendra to believe her?

     "Fuck off Carson" she said blinking the tears away. I followed her in but instead of going into the dance studio again she took a right and headed for the women's restroom.

     "Hey Kassandra, Kendra needs you, she's in the restroom "

Rubi turns to me as Kassandra rushes outside. I try to ignore Rubis eyes as I pick up my water bottle and start drinking it but although she's small her presence is big and before I wanted her she was already in front of me
  
     "What did you do to her?" She asks me with that sweet smile I know is so poisonous

      "Why do you love playing Cupid when you know you suck at it?"

She scrunches her eyebrows and this is my favorite part about Rubi's act. Act stupid and they'll never know.
     "You made her think somehow Kayden was going to fall for her"
      "Oh that" she smiles again "Why wouldn't he?"
"Why would he?"
Her eyebrows now raise as high as they can "Wow Carson that was rude"
        "Not like that idiot" I roll my eyes "But you know the guy doesn't like her so why would you tell her he does or will if she dances with him"
        "Don't question me, or I'll start to question you and your stupid bets with the guys."
I smile and nod "Fair game, I'll let you enjoy your fun"
        "Likewise" she winks at me
Likewise. We know each other too well. And we're both pieces of shit that's for sure but there's a difference between Rubs and I. I don't hide behind an angel face and a sweet act I show you the piece of shit I am it's your choice If you want to get muddy in the shit.
