IX: Haru's Protection Plan

Third POV

The sound of roaring engines approaching the incoming runway of Kansai International Airport (KIX) broke through the mid Japan morning.

They'd arrived to Osaka, Japan.

Down a private strip, white SUV's patiently boarded both Katsuki and Izuku's crews. At 10:00 am on the dot they headed out.

Beginning the near four hour drive to Katsuki's Japanese Estate in Shizuoka.

"So, now I'm curious," Sero's voice rang in the back seat, snapping Katsuki from his near slumber.

"Why have the signing in Japan? What's wrong with the U.S?"

Sero, with his arms folded and his sights set on the open road answered nonchalantly, "Diplomacy."

"More specifically, the idea of extradition." Kirishima tagged along, "Haru was born in the U.S, making him an automatic citizen, but because on both maternal and paternal sides resonate in Japan, it made things a lot easier for Bakugo to push for Haru to also get citizenship here."

"The meeting and confirmation of the protection plan is being held here because in the unlikely event Haru gets caught up in the future or needs to flee the U.S, he can come here."

Sero's brows pinched, "I thought Japan had an extradition treaty with the U.S."

"Those honor bonds run deep." Katsuki interjected solemnly, "Japan included, a lot of countries won't extradite their own citizens."

"Ah." Sero nodded, going back to resting his head on the glass, letting the hum of the acceleration and deceleration of the engine push him to fall asleep.

"It feels so nice to be back home." Iida hummed, a warm smile present on his usually firm demeanor.

"The meeting itself shouldn't take long, Iida," Izuku spoke up, staring at the open road, "So do you plan on going back to visiting your family home?"

"I'm sure Tensei misses you."

Iida folded his arms and dipped his head, "Well for one thing, I miss him as well."

Tensei Iida, Tenya Iida's older brother who was unfortunately paralyzed after a major accident a just two years prior before a meeting.

As a result, Iida had to go as his family's representative to an abroad meeting in the U.S and ended up meeting the man himself.

Izuku Midoriya.

A look of regret filled his eyes before shaking his head, "But business comes first and you never know."

Turning slightly in the passenger's seat, Izuku have Iida a weak smile, "I have Uraraka and Todoroki all here for me if I need them, so don't worry, you can go if you want to."

"Give yourself a break. You've done a lot."

With a solemn nod, "Well, if you think so..."
