II: Mrs.Bakugo
Third POV
Izuku had found himself speeding walking back to his car on the underground garage of Katsuki's company.
A company Izuku had virtually called home for four years. Life goes on of course, as he'd moved on to other things.
For the most part.
Slipping into the driver seat of his car, he was greeted with a familiar face.
One of his closest confidants and best friend, Shoto Todoroki. The alpha, who was slightly pale with two toned white & red hair and heterochromia, with a grey right eye and turquoise left eye had acted as a voice of reason and psrt-time shoulder to cry on when it came to Izuku.
And to Katsuki as well until he had left being under the Prime Alpha's leadership in place of Izuku's.
"I take it things went well?" Todoroki inquired, as Izuku pulled out of the parking space and began heading for the exit.
With a quick glance, Izuku partly nodded, "You could say that, I guess."
"It's been a bit more than a year since the divorce was finalized, and things are still awkward?" Todoroki raised his brows suggestively, his tone completely stoic, "At least you have the coparenting down."
"My parents should've been divorced long ago."
Izuku held in a snort, knowing this was just Todoroki's odd and honestly morbid attempt in making a joke to ease the tension.
"Uh huh." Izuku sighed, giving a quick wave to the guard before pulling out onto the busy night streets of Sacramento.
Back in the high rise office, Katsuki scooped up Haru, and carried the boy into the conjoined room of his office.
For all intensive purposes, this was Haru's very own play place at the pharmaceutical company.
With a quiet thud, he left the year old pup to continue to sleep while he finished up work.
Though, he could barely focus as his mind lingered back on the omega who'd moved a little to fast for his personal liking.
"Work, huh..?" Katsuki murmured in his head, finding that his knee was now bouncing at what it is Izuku could've possibly been up to.
His finger hovered to a silver button at the side of his desk.
To call his personal assistant.
~Flashback~
Katsuki had just about pressed the call button for his personal assistant at least four times.
For someone his mom promised would be a diligent worker, clearly she or Izuku were lying.
Just as he was about to reach again, one of the doors to the office busted open and I'm came the assistant.
Slightly sweaty and panting with files in one hand and a piping hot cup of coffee in the other.
"I-I'm so sorry!" Izuku heaved out, his face flushed in embarrassment at how late he was for his second day, "T-the file sorter was out of order, so I-I had to manually find it out of the archives and the coffee machine in the nearby break room was out so I had to go to the one upstairs, but it seemed there was also a line there too and-,"
Katsuki just inspected Izuku, holding up his hand for just a moment,
"Breath."
Izuku stared at him for a second, taking in deep breaths before walking forward and placing the items down.
"This is a really bad impression, isn't it?" Izuku squeaked out, bowing his head down.
Katsuki shrugged, picking up the coffee and blowing off some of the rising steam before taking a sip.
"It's fine." Katsuki dismissed, watching how Izuku's head snapped up and an eager look was displayed in those damn near shining eyes.
He should've reprimanded Izuku for future instances.
But he didn't.
He couldn't.
~Flashback end~
• • • Meanwhile • • •
Back at his own small startup, Izuku found himself changing in Haru's mini playroom for a quick meeting.
Scrambling out of old office attire into a Panolia bow front mini dress and plain black shoes.
"Damn it, I didn't think traffic would pile up like that-!" He cursed, hearing another one of his friends on the other side of the door.
"It's a lot more difficult, Midoriya, when Bakugo isn't taking these kinds of meetings." A stoic feminine voice sounded from the other side.
Izuku gritted his teeth, "Thanks, Asui for the reminder."
Tsuyu Asui, a beta and one of Katsuki's former employees who the man had assigned to Izuku during their divorce.
She had long dark green hair tied into a bow at the bottom and rather emotionless dark eyes. Dressed in all black and plain heels, she waited patiently for Izuku to escort him down to the meeting room.
Though, she wasn't wrong.
Although, in Izuku's head, It's not that he was late.
Everyone was just early and expected things too early.
Quickly coming out of the room he did a quick spin of his outfit, "Too much? Should I change?"
"I don't want whoever it is to get the wrong idea, considering how late it is and whatnot."
Asui shook her head, handing over a dark grey shawl, "Juzo Honenuki. And just put this on incase you feel like he's staring too much."
"We don't have time for you to change. We need to go, now."
Izuku nodded, as the two of them scurried down the hall.
Izuku could feel his palms go clammy, deciding to unfold the shawl and draping it over his shoulders.
As they approached the main conference room, he could see the elevator on the opposite end begin to open up.
There he could see Todoroki and one of his other close confidants escort in the man and his own personnel.
"Showtime..." Izuku swallowed thickly, stopping in front of the dark oak tinted panel doors of the conference room, maintaining a positive look on his face as Juzo Honenuki approached.
Casting one glance behind him and one more to Todoroki, he began to prep himself to speak.
But he was beat to the punch.
"Good evening, Mrs.Bakugo." Juzo Honenuki greeted, slicking back his dirty blond hair and casting Izuku a look.
"It's just Midoriya." Izuku politely corrected, opening the door and allowing him to go first, "and good evening to you too, Mr. Honenuki."
With little more to say, they entered the meeting room.
