+~ Prologue: A Hero Is Born (part 2) ~+

Of course Y/N was upset about the news covering Callie's disappearance, considering Marina was about to suggest that they put together a search party, before Pearl cut her off, say that "they'll find her when they find her." It ticked him off!

But, they knew something's she couldn't change. That's one of the lessons Mr Tang taught them anyways. So they shrugged it off, knowing that they'll find the missing Sister eventually.

As she secured her OctoPhones on his ears, they scrolled through their music and picked out one of their favorite tracks, and then sped off to deliver the noodles!

His deliveries went about as normal as usual, ring the doorbell, say a very accented "Pigsy's Noodles!", get the occasional compliment from an older customer, (they hated it when they called him an "octopus demon") and then head back home to Pigsy's! Today was gonna go smoothly! That's for sure!

Like that was ever gonna happen, this is Megapolis. Things don't go smoothly here.

Just before he reached the last house on the route, which was strangely in the forest, their motorbike's engine stalled.

"Come on... Don't do this to me! I was having a good day!" She mumbled in Octarian. "We're out in the forest, and the nearest mechanic is over 50 miles away!" He ranted, clearly pissed.

They grabbed the noodles from the trunk of his bike and sighed. 'Looks like I'm walking today.' They accepted, and trudged into the forest.

The forest was actually very nice this time of day, if you ignore Y/N fearing for their life and job whenever she had to cross a river. And the wildlife. And the trees. The trees were the worst part.

But after what felt like AGES to Y/N, they finally arrived at their destination! Woo-Hoo! At this point, though, he wished he went with her brother.

They arrived at a small shrine, somewhere in Octo Canyon. They knocked on the door to the shrine and let out a small "Pigsy's Noodles!" And waited.

When no one came to the door, he got confused and looked around, then they spotted the payment for the noodles on the seat outside. She took the money and put the food in its place. Then she left.

Shortly after the Octoling left, a familiar white and green Inkling wearing a kimono emerged from the shrine, taking the food and going back inside.
(I was going to include a small bit of the Splatoon 2 storyline somehow) >:)

They then got back onto their bike and turned the key, and drove back to Pigsy's. By the time they got back, she noticed Mei's motorcycle outside, still as shiny as the day Mei built it. 'Looks like MK's late. AGAIN.'

Immediately after he heard a loud CRASH followed by Mr Tang freaking out, so naturally, HE started freaking out. He immediately kicked open the door flap, holding a nearby broom like a weapon, yelling death threats in Octarian.

This caused Mei, MK, and Mr Tang to DASH to the corner of the shop to avoid Y/N's Fear Fueled Wrath. But it just caused Pigsy to go full Dad Mode.

"Y/N! Y/N! ITS JUST US! RELAX!" Pigsy yelled... Before getting slammed into the wall by Y/N's infamous swing, leaving a Pigsy-shaped dent in the wall.

"AHH! DADSY! I'M SO SORRY!!! I THOUGHT SOMEONE BROKE IN!!!" Y/N panicked in Octarian, to which Tang somehow perfectly understood despite the language barrier.

"It's alright, nobody broke in, Y/N." Tang comforted. And Mei immediately chimed in with: "Yeah! MK just broke a table and made Mr Tang lose his noodle mind!" Mei joked. 'And How Did MK Make Mr Tang Go Crazy?' He signed, to which MK perked up upon reading.

"With... THIS!" He says as he shows off The Monkey King's Staff like some kind of rare treasure. After seeing it, Y/N said one of the few English words she knew. She said "Stick." In an unamused tone, immediately raining on MK's parade.

"Nooooo! How many times do I have to explain this today!? THIS. IS. MONKEY. KING'S. STAFF!!" MK said exasperated. "Ooh! Show him the extending thing you did! That might show them!" Mei suggested. MK replied "For the last time, Mei. I don't know how I-" but his rebuttal was cut short by the staff suddenly shrinking and extending directly into the ceiling.

Y/N stared at the new hole in the ceiling in shock and awe, not muttering a word. This concerned MK. "Uhm... Y/N? You ok?"

And then they passed out.

She woke up a few minutes after, MK, Mei and Mr Tang looking down at her. After they all realized that she was conscious again, MK grabbed him and embraced him in a bear hug. "OHOHO MY SWEET LITTLE SHORTCAKE! WE THOUGHT WE LOST YOU!!!" He sobbed while Y/N tried desperately to get him off of them.

Pigsy then began speaking again. "All right, I'll bite. If the staff is here, then where is that demon punk now?" To which Mei chimed in with "He's at the shoe store." Holding her phone up while everyone exclaimed "WHAT!?"

"This had better not be another one of your puppy videos, Mei." Pigsy complained, to which Mei just chuckled and responded with "There's always time for a puppy video! But, no. Look what just started trending! #DemonBullKing!" Mei explained.

While the others all crowded around Mei's phone, Y/N pulled out their own phone and opened his podcast app and put on his news podcast.

"Listen up! It's going down." The royal blue Octoling said, tapping her fan on her podium. The Octoling in question was Shiver, the cutthroat elegant dancer with an eye for treasure. "Repping the Splatlands, we are DEEP CUT!"

"Anarchy Splatcast! We're live!" Said the bright yellow Inkling, excitedly extending her arms into the sky cheering. The Inkling was Frye, the excited energetic singer with a love for fame.

"Ay! (Here we go!)" said the large manta ray behind the tv. This is Big Man, the blissful happy song writer who just wants to spread love across the world.

"You lip-sync, we drip ink..." Shiver began as Big Man finished her line. "Ay, ay, ay! (Shiver, Frye, and Big Man!)" He said happily.

"Let's see the current-" Shiver's sentence was quickly cut off by Frye yelling out "HOLD IT! WHO'S THIS BOZO BEATING US ON TRENDING!?" Which cause Y/N to temporarily remove her OctoPhones due to the volume.

She then put them back on to hear Shiver say "Frye, dear, let's try not to give our listeners hearing damage." "Whoops, sorry 'bout that." Frye said, clearly embarrassed.

"But this burns me up! We've been trending for ages, but now some punk with the hashtag 'DemonBullKing' is beating us!?" To which Big Man responded "AY AY AY!? (THE DEMON BULL KING FROM THE LEGEND!?)"

"Ooh... That explains a lot..." Frye said slowly. After that, they did their normal routine, but Y/N felt their brother breathing down his neck, so they cracked her head towards MK, almost scaring his soul out of his body.

"JEEZ Y/N! ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK!?" MK said angrily. To which Y/N just tilted their head to the side confused. MK immediately got the hint. "Oh! Well, Pigsy said he would drive us to see someone who can take us to Flower Fruit Mountain! Wanna go?"

Y/N gave him a glance as if to say 'Really?' And MK retaliated with The Puppy Dog Eyes. So Y/N just sighed and nodded her head. They knew they couldn't argue with the Puppy Eyes. MK yelled "YAY!" And immediately dragged Y/N by her hand.

Y/N wanted to pack some more weapons, seeing as the only weapon she had in his bag was a charger, but Buddha seems to hate her.
