Well, driving to see some mysterious old friend of Pigsy's wasn't how Y/N expected to spend his one free day, but here we are! He didn't expect to be squished in-between her entire found family in a van either.
"EH, VERY TIGHT!" MK groaned out as Pigsy did another swerve, almost sending Y/N's bag flying through the window, thankfully it was closed. But that didn't stop it from hitting Mei right in the face, causing her to let out a small "Owch!"
Tang clawed his way to the front of the pile to talk to Pigsy. "Pigsy! Watch where you're going! You're going to kill us!" To which Y/N gave a "Humph!" Of agreement. "Yeah!" MK chimed in. "We've gotta get to Flower Fruit Mountain WITHOUT getting smooshed in a car crash." MK then explained. "All we need to do is drive through an entire ocean. Simple!" Y/N was unnerved by the idea of driving across an ocean, since Octolings and Inklings don't last long in the water.
"Guys!" Mei then spoke up. "Demon Bull King's moved onto downtown! He's destroying the cheese tea stalls!" To which MK exclaimed "All the more reason to get this Staff to Monkey King! Flower Fruit Mountain. It's the only place he could be! Right Mr Tang?"
"Hmm. Indeed..." Tang had a dramatic tone to his voice. Y/N and MK adored it when Mr Tang got this serious, it was admirable to Y/N. "However, Flower Fruit Mountain is hidden away, deep in dangerous and unknown territory..." "So I guess we better turn back! Heheheh..." And there goes his dramatic personality, Y/N let out a groan of disappointment at Tang's cowardice. An exasperated MK let out a loud "WHAT!?"
"Ah, shut it, ya big baby!" Pigsy interrupted. "I know a guy that can take us there. The most dangerous, deadly, rage-filled warrior I've ever known..." Pigsy then slammed on the break, sending everyone flying to the front, he then swerved in front of a large cargo ship. "Sandy..."
The entire sibling trio were shaking in the presence of Sandy, and Y/N had hidden himself behind MK, cowering in the face of the giant. The giant named Sandy placed the meat cleaver back onto the cutting board and began to speak.
"That's a lot to take in. You know what I do to people who disrupt the peace?" He said ominously, causing Y/N to hide further behind MK.
"Serve 'em tea!" Sandy said, the ominous aura instantly went away, although the Octoling was still terrified, She's an ant compared to Sandy, why wouldn't she be? "You guys want some?" He asked as he offered the group some tea on a tray he had out.
He noticed Y/N's terrified look and immediately went to calm him down. "Hey, hey, hey. I'm not gonna hurt you! I know I look pretty scary, but I'm not!" He then offered them some tea, to which they graciously accepted, and Tang took a cup as well.
"Certain noodle shop owners could learn a lot from your hospitality, Sandy." Tang smugly told Pigsy, Mei then chimed in with her own claim. "Oh, you're right, Piggy, this guy is dangerous! He'll kill us with cuteness!" She said as she placed a tabby cat on Pigsy's head. Y/N was currently sitting on the floor, sipping tea, surrounded by cats while MK took thousands of pictures with his phone.
"It's my own blend of anti-stress fruits! It really brings the heart rate down." Sandy claimed. 'Ah, so that's why he offered it to me. He's not so bad!' Y/N thought.
"Ugh!" Pigsy exclaimed as he slammed his hands into the table, causing the cats (and Y/N) to jump up in fear. "Sandy, what happened to you?" He questioned, jumping onto Sandy's chest and pulling at his... Necklace? Accessory? Y/N didn't really know. "Where's the angry, glass-chewing, fist-throwing buddy I used to know!?"
Y/N hated it when Pigsy got this kind of angry. Sure, he's gotten angry before, but this kind of angry always made Y/N uncomfortable, even when it wasn't directed at him, they just felt uneasy.
Sandy went on to explain that his therapist told him that he needed to calm down, but Y/N was busy playing with his cats to listen, unfortunately, when they started to bite and scratch at her, he crawled back onto the couch, covered in bite marks and scratches. This instantly made MK pull out his First Aid Kit and tend to the marks.
Mei then got down on her knees and started to beg Sandy for help, to which MK immediately went to join in, halfway through treating Y/N's wounds, which made him roll her eyes and mutter curses in Octarian.
"Okay!" "Really?" "Anything for Pigsy! I can get you there, but it ain't a pleasant trip." Sandy explained to which the sibling trio immediately started bouncing off the walls in excitement. Which resulted in an infamous 'Sibling Pile'.
"Mo! Initiate the launch sequence!" Sandy said, Mo jumped off his shoulder giving an affirmative meow. "Launch Sequence?" Mei questioned.
Afterward, the entire ship began shaking, terrifying everyone. 'Ah,' Y/N thought. 'That's what he meant by launch sequence.' "Onwards, to Flower Fruit Mountain!" Sandy exclaimed as the boat set off towards the mountain. Y/N played their music as the boat sped off, the music surprisingly fitting.
Y/N could only hope this would go smoothly, but being on the water didn't help her mood much.

Author here: how are y'all liking the story so far? I'm trying to include as much Splatoon lore as possible, but it's pretty hard. Also W O W, my first story on Wattpad and I've already got 4 CHAPTERS! (3 minus the briefing chapter) I'm just impressed with this so far :)
