<Season 2 has ended! Well when I first wrote Season 1 out, I already had Jax in mind as more of a misguided person and the concept of a devil constantly in the shadows, waiting to prey on weak individuals. I also didn't want a complete romance focus - I wanted to show that Cassie and Jax weren't romantically interested in Kiaria because she's what comes after Ayla, the one whom they loved.
Also, I liked the concept that an ancient being had been obsessed with her for so long ever since she was created as a human. He is obsessed with her because she represents what he isn't. He can only exist because she was created. He could not prey on her because of her strong religious ties and therefore he hurts others around her instead. The devil doesn't want an ordinary life of happiness with her. If he did, he would have treated her nicely and tried to get her to fall in love with him. He wants the chase and he enjoys the pain and chaos along the way.
Season 3 coming up next! That will hopefully be the last season lmao.>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For a long time, the demon kingdom waited for their ruler to come back. Thousands of years had come and gone, but he hadn't stayed much before he would be out again for some adventures. Some believed that perhaps, their ruler was never going to return seriously to rule over the Empire. Then, a glorious and burning red sun suddenly descended the sky on a winter night. The demons wailed and hailed in excitement as they rushed to the borders of the palace.
There, an extremely bright red glow sparked across the field and there came out their enigmatic leader. He was still as powerful, strong, and brutal as ever, and looked energetic although many years have passed. What's puzzling is a tiny female human in his arms. He held her like a tender toddler; as if she wasn't food to be consumed for that night.
Kiaria wakes up in a full white gown dressed on a dark black bed, surrounded by black walls and floors. It doesn't matter anyway to her since she has no idea what the place looks like. She looks around the room and smells aroma filling the room. There is a window that shows the outskirts and in here, even though she's blind, she can sense that she's in hell. Kiaria is not able to see how the moon is red while the world outside is rusty and poured with blood and Machiavellian intentions.
Kiaria's eyes furrowed slightly. The smell of killing intention was strong and pungent. She has to get used to living life like this for the rest of her life. Despite being in hell, her heart was at peace for the first time in her life, and perhaps even in other lives as well. Kiaria was at peace that no other humans or possessors would get hurt again because of the contract. If the devil wanted her dead right at the moment, she would simply give him her life without much fuss.
The Devil comes into her room and is awestruck for the moment by how beautiful she is. She was daintly in white, surrounded by a fully black aesthetic. She fitted well right here; for she is his little Angel since the beginning.
He marches towards her and grabs her face to inspect her. She didn't have any bruises or scratches, and she looked well-kept and clean. His slaves have done a good job of reinvigorating her compared to her initial looks in the bloody war.
"You're so beautiful." He comments out loud for her to hear.
"Thank you," Kiaria responds robotically.
He stares at her and thinks about how she can't see anything here either. The devil takes his time to touch her face, and near to her eyes.
"Do you want your sight back?"
Kiaria pauses to think of what to say.
"I don't need it."
"Why? Can't stand to see me because it reminds you of all the atrocities I have done to your people?"
"No. It's just meaningless to see now."
"It's useless to see now because you don't have your friends and family by your side anymore?"
Kiaria doesn't reply to him and stays silent.
The devil doesn't like what Kiaria's expression is like. It didn't look like he coerced her into this - she looked like she was at peace here and was ready to accept whatever he did to her.
But something in him felt like this wasn't really what he wanted. He grabs her and positions her to sit on his lap while he inserts his tongue into her mouth and explores and fondles her body.
The devil can tell that Kiaria simply accepted her fate. She doesn't reject his advances and squeals when he touches the good points.
"Strip." The devil orders and Kiaria docilely complies.
She removes her white gown which leaves her exposed with her inner wear revealing her smooth skin, an indicator that the healer has done a good job as well.
He starts licking and biting down her neck and collar bone and she moans for only him to hear. This was finally what he was looking forward to after so many centuries of hunting her down. Why did he not feel good about this?
He suddenly stops and stares at her trying to figure out the source of the issue.
"..."
"Why aren't you defying me? Or trying to push me aside like you normally do when I was in Sigmund, pulling a move on you?"
Kiaria didn't say anything back and in fact, she looked slightly confused.
"Answer me."
"... I can try to defy you...? Apologies that I'm not too good..."
The Devil gets angry at what she says. He pulls her hair from her scalp back and this causes Kiaria to yelp slightly, with a bit of fear as well.
"Are you my slave, Kiaria?"
Kiaria ponders about his question intently. Given the spiritual contract, she was like his possession. She owned nothing about herself, including after death. Kiaria misunderstands his question that he was re-confirming that she knows her position in his palace.
"Yes...I am...your slave."
Out of rage, the devil grabs her head and smashes his lips into hers, hungrily taking what he demands. Kiaria is taken aback as she lets out muffled squeals and noises, being unable to breathe due to the intensity of his aggressive kiss.
Initially, he didn't care about the state of affairs. He just needed to tap onto someone's desire and convert that into a sin to grow stronger; so he entered Angel J's body as he smelled the sin of lust towards Angel A.
He stayed in Angel J's body because his sin was so delicious.
But then, Angel A created new souls from enhancement. In Angel J's body, he saw how pure the soul was, ironically, juxtaposing Angel A's real corrupted soul. It was so beautiful and enchanting that he needed to have a piece of it with him.
That was how the madness started. He chased down Angel A's versions through Angel J's subsequent re-incarnations, over and over again. He could not approach someone with such a pure soul because its light burns him off. However, the soul was now willingly offering her soul up for him to taste and eat. He was beyond ecstasy - this was the best outcome he could have gotten during these thousands of years.
(But this isn't what I wanted), the devil thinks to himself as he continues to fondle and grab onto a docile Kiaria, who was letting him do whatever he wanted.
He wanted his human to pout, to sulk, and to be whoever she was in front of him.
He didn't want her to be his slave. He wanted her to be his.
