• JUST - RADIOHEAD

It was late, somewhere around midnight. We were crashing at Javi's house, and I made sure to keep my distance. He was touchy when he was drunk.
Words couldn't describe how badly I needed Tom, but I had lost my phone, and I was too wasted to nag someone for theirs.
I was in a bed. I didn't know who's bed, what room it was, I just laid there with needle in my arm and just staring at the moving ceiling while Perrine was half-asleep and Nora was searching through a stash that was under a floorboard.
My head was in a further place, my eyes half-lidded, and my gaze stuck on the ceiling.
"She's fucked." Nora mumbled, waving a hand infront of my face while my eyes slowly followed, my lips parting. "We can't leave her alone."
"You guys go ahead," I muttered under my breath. "I'll be fine." My voice was slurred, my pupils dilated. I had lost count of everything I had taken, but it would be a list.
"Okay, but no more pills. No more, okay?" Nora shook me gently. I looked up at her, forming a small smile. I couldn't understand her well, so I just sighed.
Perrine facepalmed herself, stepping back and patting my leg. "We'll just be over there. Holler if you need us, yeah?" She sighed, placing a bucket beside me and walking out of the room with a click of the door.
I rubbed the side of my face, looking down and ripping the needle out of my arm with a whimper. I shifted to pick up the spoon holding what was left of the heroin, suctioning it into the needle, and finding a fresh spot on my arm.
There wasn't many.
Maybe I should stop. I'm feeling light-headed.
But then who would know? It's just a small craving. Tiny, even.
My hips raised as I unbuckled my belt, pulling it off and wrapping it around my arm to buckle the clasp to the tightest notch. I picked up the needle again, trying to figure out which one of my hallucinations were true. Which arm was mine?
"Fuck," I whispered, my head slowly tipping back against the pillow as I pushed in the needle after a few missed spots in the air. I rolled onto my side, staring at the wall with heavy, dilated eyes.
And then I spotted the pain killers on the bedside table, hesitating for a minute before taking the bottle and opening the lid. I stood, heading over to the bathroom and running the faucet as I pulled my hair back to sip, then stepped back to take each pill one by one, almost retching just at the bitter taste.
It was hard to even breathe in. My heart thudded so hard I swear to god I could hear it in my ears. It was intoxicating, making it hard to think let alone breathe or walk.
My gaze drifted back to the bedroom, swallowing the saliva pooling in my mouth and approaching the bed in small uneasy steps. I slowly got onto the bed, curling up and giving into the overwhelming exhaustion that threatened to consume me.

I let out a long sigh of relief as we closed the bus door, heading away from the fans tapping on the window and being loud. It made me laugh, but fuck, what happened to privacy?
It was late, and Mandy hasn't answered her phone. She never does anyway. So, I called one of her friends. The Perrine girl.
"Be quiet people I'm on the phone," I called out, standing up from my seat. "Go somewhere else." Georg spoke before I immediately cut him off. "Nein,"
"Who's this?" Perrine answered. "Tom. Do you know if Mandy is still there?"
"Uhh, yeah, we left her in Danny's room." She replied. "Do you want me to get her to call you? Everyones almost passed out anyway."
"Yea, right. Thanks, Paula." I said, and hung up.

"It's fucking Perrine you asshole--" I furrowed my eyebrows, watching the line die before I closed my phone.
Jeez, what an asshole.
It'd been a few hours since we left Mandy. I had totally forgotten about her, and Nora passed out too so that didn't help.
"Mandy?" I called out, stepping over a random guy on the floor. I pushed past some girls, then approached the bedroom. I twisted the knob, heading in and watching her lay there, so still.
"Mandy," I whispered, shaking her gently.
. . .
My eyes flickered to the pill bottle beside her, quickly picking it up and checking the label. "Fuck!" I shook her, patting her cheek. "Mandy?! Shit, Mandy!"
