𝟐𝟏 || 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲

I look at my outfit, a smile spreads across my face. A baby pink shirt styled with a white mini skirt. I add a pink ribbon on the back of my hair.

I grab my phone and head towards the front door, just as I walk past the living room a voice stops me. Liam's voice is shaky, he's whispering to the person on the other line. "Listen.. I'll get you your money, just- no! Don't do that, please.. I'll fix this mess.." I narrow my eyes, who does Liam owe money to now? And what mess is he talking about?

I pull my phone out of my pocket and begin writing everything he says down. I realise that I've been getting closer and closer to figuring it out but I can't seem to figure it out. It makes me feel stupid yet again, It takes time to figure something like this out.

And I don't have enough time.

I walk towards my shoes and put them on, making sure to tie them extra tight for tonight.

I give the living room a last glance before twisting the door handle and open the door.

I begin walking towards my- our secret place. I keep walking for I don't know how long, and I suddenly regret not bringing a jacket. At least I won't be sweating before the party starts, I guess.

I stand in front of the forest, instead of making my way in there, I wait for my ride to arrive.

Ten minutes pass before I see a car approaching, I smile and tilt my head to the side. He stops the car right in front of me. I walk to the other side of the car and enter the passenger seat, I shut the door and grab my seatbelt, fastening it.

I turn my head towards Aldric who looks anything but excited about this so-called party, "I really don't wanna be there." He mumbles under his breath, I squint my eyes at him, "Well you can go back if you'd like." I state, Aldric narrows his eyes before driving to our destination.

The car ride is silent and peaceful, the sun has yet to fall, I let out a heavy sigh. Aldric doesn't say anything as he continues driving, but I suddenly don't like the silence.

This party is one that Flora's friend had invited me to, but parties are usually boring because I'm introverted and Flora loves talking to people. Which is why I invited Aldric to come with me, and of course Aldric invited his friends so I feel like this is going to be a lot of fun.

I look away from my window and drag my eyes back towards the man next to me, "Do you wanna go back?" I ask, Aldric gives me a glance before focusing back on the road. "No." I nod my head and press my lips together, why is it so awkward?

I clear my throat and take my phone out, deciding on texting Flora.

The car suddenly stops, I look up from my phone and realise that we've arrived, "Get up lazy, we're here." Aldric states, I gasp at his words, "I'm not lazy! I was busy texting Flora." I argue, Aldric scoffs before getting out the car.
