Looking at my watch for the millionth time, it's been exactly 30 minutes.
I look towards the entrance once again, hoping that I will see Estelle come through the door. She told me to just wait at the restaurant for her instead of picking her up, seeing as she wanted to make it look like she was surprising me with her outfit. Her words, not mine.
Just as I'm about to text her, I hear the door open and footsteps starting in my direction. I look up from my phone to find Estelle with... Adam.
What the fuck is he doing here?
I quickly hide my facial expression, remembering that she told me he'd come. He walks away from Estelle, taking a seat near a window as he pretends to look at the menu. My eyes drift to a smiling Estelle. She's wearing a light pink dress, white heels and a white purse with a bow on it. She also has added a few small bows on both of her mini braids lightly resting on her shoulders.
She takes a seat in front me, placing her purse on the table. ''Hi!'' She smiles softly.
''Hey, how are you?'' I ask, suddenly forgetting how to start a conversation with a girl I've known for months now. ''I'm good, traffic was crazy though.'' She chuckles awkwardly, I nod my head, I look around the café once again to make sure everyone's paying attention to their task.
Lucas and Phantom are sitting a few tables away from us, having a 'boys talk'. Adam has his laptop on the table, as if he's studying or something. Jacob is talking to a waitress, and Andrew is sitting with two random girls he told us to trust. Everything is good.
Estelle looks around too, exhaling as she observes everything around her.
I clear my throat, ''Do you know what you want to order?'' I ask, eyeing the menu.
Estelle holds the menu close to her face, scanning over everything. She suddenly puts it down and looks at me, "Aldric um.. why is this restaurant so expensive?" She whispers, she seems embarrassed to admit it. To admit that she can't afford it, and it makes me feel things that I can't describe.
I send her a soft smile, grabbing the menu and handing it back to her. "Everything's on me, just order whatever you want." I say, leaning back to sit more comfortably -causing my knee to touch Estelle's.
She suddenly freezes, as do I as I look at her. I've never been able to explain how adorable she looks when she's flustered.
I clear my throat, calling for a waitress. A tall, ginger comes to view as she takes small steps towards us, a notebook in her hand. She stands next to us, she looks at me for longer than a minute as she smiles. I try my best to hold back an eye roll.
I haven't touched a woman in more than 4 months. Some might say I'm officially going insane, Lucas believes that I should go back to my old routine to avoid being seen as a scared teenager. Once again, his words not mine.
