6 years later...

"Ma'am, I just want to inform you that you have a meeting later at five pm with your business partners for the upcoming holiday event." my assistant Penny said while I'm so busy reading some papers.

Yes. I pursued business instead, although I got my nursing license, I still choose business over it. I do not regret anything about my decision, I'm doing good and better each day.

I looked at Penny who is waiting for my words. "Okay. Just keep me updated because I might forget about it, you know me." I said. I really have that mannerism na nakakalimutan minsan ang mga bagay na dapat kong gawin.

Kaya I'm so thankful kay Penny, without her I couldn't imagine how I will manage the company smoothly.

"Noted po, ma'am." she said and then she proceeds to the door to leave and continue her work.

Sa sobrang pagod ko ay nakatulugan ko na ang mga papel na nasa harap ko. Nagising nalang ako nang yugyugin ako ng kaunti ni Penny para magising.

Shit!

"Ma'am, pasensya na po at ginising ko kayo. We have to get ready for the meeting and we only have 15 minutes left before the meeting starts." nagaalangan na sambit niya.

"It's okay. Thank you for waking me up tho, Dad will surely be upset if I didn't attend that meeting. That is a very important meeting every year. Anyways, I'll just fix myself then we'll go na." ani ko.

Agad naman akong napatayo at napapunta sa banyo para makapag ayos ng aking sarili kahit papaano. I don't know who will join the meeting but I know some of them are already familiar to me because of the last year's meeting for this event.

"Let's go, Penny." I said, pagkalabas na pagkalabas ko ng banyo. I just sprayed a perfume on my neck at kinuha ang bag saka umalis kasama si Penny.

The meeting will be held on our company since they always say that it's so comfortable to held a meeting here. Hindi naman na ako tumanggi dahil I'm glad that they felt comfortable inside the company.

Pagkabukas ko ng kwarto kung saan gaganapin ang meeting ay nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa nakita.

"Dad, Mom!" Gulat na sambit ko dahil hindi ko inakala na nandito sila sa meeting ngayon. Sinabihan kasi nila ako na they will not be home until the end of October.

"What are you two doing here? I thought sa october pa kayo babalik?" tanong ko.

"Oh, hija. Akala rin namin ay sa october pa kami makakauwi but, your Dad and his friend has to discuss something serious kaya napa-aga ang uwi namin." Pagpapaliwanag niga.

Somehow, I'm curious kung sinong kaibigan ba iyon at kung anong pinag-usapan nila at mukhang talagang seryosong pag-uusap talaga ito. Dahil hindi uuwi basta-basta sila Mommy dito nang walang dahilan.

Kalaunan ay tinanggal ko na iyon sa isip ko at pinagtuunan ng pansin ang meeting.

"If we will able to make a product that is effective for adults and kids, I suggest a food or soap or something related to what we can use in our daily lives." Mr. Perez said.

"Agree. That would attract so many costumers. Since it's Christmas season— soap, perfumes something like that 'cause as a person who's having a hard time thinking about what to give to my not so close friends but you actually want to give them something for holidays, those are the best options for me." I said and surprisingly, they all agreed with it.

The meeting went really smoothly. Ewan ko pero napagod ako sa meeting na 'yon dahil almost two hours kaming nag-uusap about sa ila-launch na products.

"Penny, can you get me some pastries please? I need to reduce my stress right now." I said and she laughed a bit dahil pastries and sweets talaga ang kinakain ko if I feel like I need to reduce some stress or I really need an energizer.

"Okay, I'll ask kuya Bert to buy you one, ma'am." Penny said and smiled at me.

"Yes please. Thank you!"

I'm looking at my table who have a lot of papers. Halos patong-patong ang mga iyon no'ng biglang may kumatok sa pinto ng opisina ko.

"Hello, hija. Your Dad is asking you if he can talk to you for a bit?" sabi ni mommy habang nakadungaw lang sa pinto ng opisina ko.

Tumayo naman ako agad at sumunod sa kaniya. The pastries can wait.

I don't know why I am nervouse dahil minsan lang naman ako kausapin ni Daddy sa opisina. Sa opisina niya kami nag-uusap kapag sobrang importante talaga ng pag-uusapan naming dalawa. What is it this time?

"Dad..." I said and slowly close the door of his office.

He is sipping his coffee. "Have a sit, hija." Dad gesture the chair in front of his table.

"Hindi na ako magpapaligoy-ligoy, hija. I want you to get married." ani ni Daddy na kinagulat ko. Well, yes I want to get married too but not now. I'm not ready of that kind of thing as of now.

"I know, you're shocked by this sudden discussion with you, anak but one my co-business partners wanted his son to get married already. It's weird that when he said that to me, I suddenly think about you." He said. As if hindi rin siya makapaniwala na naisip niya ako agad pagkatapos marinig ang mga iyon sa ka-business partner niya.

"I don't know what to say, Dad..." I'm really noy interested because I know my heart always belong to someone I cannot have— to someone I've been waiting for a long time now...

"No pressure, hija... I just want you to know that, it's your decision to make not mine. So, if you really don't want that to happen then, so be it." He hold my hand and assured me that it's really my decision if I'll agree with it or not.
