For as far as I could remember, mom wasn't there
I looked around to see, Dadan, the head maid who raised me
Makino, the big sis who cooks me anything I want
Gramps, who teaches me how to be a great soldier one day
However I was always lonely
The reason? I can't seem to find one
The palace was huge and filled with many people, everyone being in their nicest behavior for me
Still why did I felt alone? I don't know
As time passed by, My father, the king took me in an orphanage as we were invited there by the boss, I met a boy there, an Orphan, Sabo
We instantly connected, specifically because he said he felt the same

Years passed, I went to meet Sabo every week, hiding from the palace guards
I don't know how my dad will react if he finds out I am hanging out with orphans
I told Makino about this and she said the King will be delighted, however I don't believe that
Why don't I believe that? Of course! Because I have never spend time with him! I don't even know what type of person he is

He must be a terrible person, or else, why are so many nations after his head?..... Or......

When I was ten,I finally got caught,
The king sended guards to spy on me to check what I was doing
They came and forcefully grabbed Sabo
I fought the guards and stayed with Sabo for as long as I could
I pushed Sabo, wanting him to get the hint and run away
"Sabo!!! Run away!!!" I said as I tried to fight the palace guards back
They were beating me seriously
"I AM THE PRINCE!! HOW DARE YOU GUYS FIGHT ME??" I asked them pissed, wtf? Why would they hit me?
However they seemed to not had any wish to back away
I was slowly losing consciousness
When I was about to give up, laying in the ground.....my eyes slowly closing, I heard a noise
I looked up to see.....the man called my father
I saw him cut up the two soldiers in half
"I TOLD YOU TO KEEP TRACK ON HIM" He scolded someone... Maybe shanks
"I am truly sorry, Captain! I didn't even notice when the enemy spys dressed themselves as our palace guards!!" He claimed
Captain? Yeah... Must be shanks
My dad was the leader of their Knight Group after all
"I caught another brat" Said Gramps as I looked up from the ground, he was holding an injured Sabo in his hands
"ACE!! GET UP!!" Sabo called, maybe he is afraid the King will kill me... Yeah I still didn't tell him I was the Prince
He thought I was a soldier's son
"You have been meeting him?" Asked Roger as he began walking up towards me
"Why did you even hide it?" Asked Father with a smirk
He reached his hands out, to help me get up
"Why are you even here?" I muttered, not taking his hand and looking away
He gave a shock expression before he replied with a warm smile
"𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗱𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗲"
His answer left me in shock, he didn't beat or even scold me... He acted like I did nothing wrong when I also had fault in all this...
I took his hand as he helped me get up
....
Soon he adopted Sabo, for two reasons
I already considered Sabo as my brother and simply because he saw how much potential Sabo had
Was I a bit jealous about that fact? Yes
Was I happy he is my real brother too now? Also yes
We also found out that Sabo is a runaway Noble's son, he ran away because he was always mistreat in his household, some people left him at the orphanage after seeing him wander the streets himself
...
Same year, came Luffy
I don't know from where
Or
Who his real parents were
All I knew was, me and Sabo were trying to steal some golds from the King's room late at night when we heard him talking with someone from the inside
"I see" He said
"Sabo listen to this!!" I called him as we both put our ears on the door
".... He is my son's age" Said Dad
Huh? Who?
"I guarantee you to provide him the best life possible, I will raise him like the prince, alongside my son" We both heard as we nodded to each other
"You heard that right Sabo?" I whispered
"Hmm" Mumbled Sabo
"I will be going then" Said the another guy, he has a deep voice, who is he?
"Alright then, You are doing a great job, Thank You Dragon"
We heard the King thank someone... Dragon?
...
The next morning we got to know that Dad is adopting another guy
... At first I seemed to hate him and kept him away from Sabo
Maybe it's the jealousy of Sharing my brother's bond with someone else
Or sharing my spot
I even spat on that guy's face the first time I saw him
He used to blabber about being the best knight all the time, which my dad was
I myself also wanted to be a great knight, however I didn't had any wish of becoming the best or taking over my father's best knight title
.... I once even thought to myself
"Even If I disappear, Luffy can just take my spot and become king"
But that wasn't the case, I was needed and I was loved, I understood it when Pops came back from the small war that had been going around at that time
Pops taught me all sorts of things, he made me realize

Luffy can be the best Knight for all I care
I will become a great King
Worthy and Loved enough to be the best one
