The day Sabo left was a happy day for me, Ace and I spend time in that tree house and took the first step of our marriage, it was hurtful but Ace was there to make sure I was okay
He was gentle and warm with me
He seemed to have something on his mind as he explored my whole body, as if he is angry on someone
Little did I knew it was because of Big Mom's taunts
After the day, I went back to my room happily, Ace had some more work to do so he spend time in his office some more, I accompanied him for an hour before going back
Who knew something like that was waiting for me the moment the clock hits midnight?

When I read the letter for the first time, it was midnight
I looked at Koala with tensed eyes
My hands Shakey and the cold night air hitting my face
"Stop him!" I shouted
"My princess he is already gone" She replied, trying to calm me down
I couldn't avcept the reality as I ran towards his room
"M- my princess?" Koala ran behind me, some maids following us to see what this is all about, panicking
As I finally reached the door as I opened it forcefully
An empty room
That's what I met with, I entered the room, walking a bit slow, glancing over from the bed to the wardrobe to the huge vase in the center of the room, his books on the floor messy as if he was here even this evening
He was nowhere now
....
Ace found out Sabo was missing soon enough
As he send his soldiers to look for Sabo day and night
I finally talked to him
"... Sabo had proposed to me.. But I rejected him" I spoke
Tears wanted to escape my eyes but I held back "I... he left because of that"
I said, facing Ace
He went into shock for a moment before standing up and walking a bit away from me
"... I don't know what to say.. You are my finace" He said
"H- he didn't had any bad intentions Ace!"
"If he did... He wouldn't have left to hold himself back from ruining our relationship!" I said
He looked at me for a minute before replying "why didn't you stop him?"
"I also didn't know anything.. He send a letter to me...he made sure I get the letter only after he was gone!" I replied, my voice barely a whisper
...
Ace left the day after, in search of Sabo
Luffy and I were the ones remaining in the castle
I handled the jobs easily
Who knew there a rat in the castle?
After knowing about Sabo being in some island far east, Ace came back home as it eased his worries
...
Ace was keeping a good eye on his whereabouts, they were nothing special, from some library to some hotels to some old ruins to learn more about history
..
However one day the information just stopped, it was some months after Sabo had left
News came
"Sabo san just disappeared into thin air" Said the country's king where Sabo was in
..
This was a top secret of course only some members of the king knew about it
Ace couldn't hold back anymore and left the day Princess Pudding and her brother went back to their nation after properly sending them off
...
Some weeks after Ace had left
I got a letter send from the heart of the Capital
"There has been some protesting going on as rumors went around about the future queen selling off the country to Big Mom, people are saying the trading is just for show and strings are being pulled in the shadows" The letter read
I narrowed my eyes
"What stupidity" I muttered to myself, telling Koala to take the letter away
...
Some more days passed, Ace had send a letter saying he found some info about Sabo and left looking for him in that direction, it's faster if Ace is the one to look for him because then the matter will be put more into focus
...
Another protest broke out at the Capital
"That girl has sended The Crown Prince away so that she can sell this empire off to her own nation without our Prince knowing! The stand in King is also not present this days thanks to him getting treatment in another nation and working on some secret papers or something! This is all a plan by that witch! " This time the rumor was more ridiculous
I didn't get to see it personally but Koala and the others said that the general public had broke into two teams, some who thought this is ridiculous, with brains, and some who believed all of this blindly
The third day some bars were burned along with the famous dress store from where my dresses come from personally
They say some even tried to burn off Sanji's restaurant but failed miserably because of Zeff san
I had sended Shanks to stop the situation from getting worst
It worked for some days, till more rumors kept coming in
"She was never good enough"
"My neighbor's older son was a soldier back when those other nation attacked, he passed away because he was protecting that girl!"
"The castle won't had gotten attacked anyways if she didn't came to marry the Prince"
"Some say she has relations with many from the castle! I even heard the princes are in a bad relationship because of her"
How did this get into my ears? Thanks to the maids gossiping!
Even some workers had quit working in the castle thanks to the sudden hate
I always feared what if the people don't accept me as it is?
Well guess what? The worst had happened!
And I was living this nightmare
