"She's all yours Cole."

Kalayavan didn't care about the men surrounding them with weapons of their own, or that the kid was just following orders so he wasn't forced to trade places with the traitor. He was up from his chair in a matter of seconds, tackling Halrim in the same movement. The force knocked the gun from his underling's hand, tipping the odds more in his favor.

They flew back into one of the five surrounding men, catching him off guard and sending them to the ground. He didn't wait to finish falling before he was slamming his fist into his former prodezha's face. However, the well trained target jerked his head to the side, making Kal's blow miss, smashing his knuckles into the face of the man behind him. The force of it sent his skull into the cement floor, effectively knocking him out cold.

Hal bucked before he could regain momentum to strike out at him again, knocking his teacher off of him and rolling off to the side.

Both of them shot to their feet, as the other four Sepireers charged forward to join in. Forgoing their guns so as not to hit each other with pass-through/dodged bullets. Just mindless sheep following directions, the whole lot of them. It was the same reason he had never trusted Caterina's safety to anyone other than himself, and why he would continue to keep it that way if he had any say about it.

After he killed his fellow Sepireers and then that son of a bitch who was currently doing unimaginable things to his woman. No, not imaginable. Flashes of what he could be doing to her kept appearing behind his eyelids every time he went to blink.

Charging at him, two of the others swung at him from either side, but he was already bending back to avoid Halrim's fist; which came soaring through where his head had just been. The three of them collide as Kal rolls back to jump to his feet like a skilled acrobat.

Advancing on the two left standing, Slamming one man's head into the other's quickly and successfully knocking the both of them out. Leaving the three who were now untangling from each other. His eyes were locked on Halrim, who proceeded to launch himself forward into an attack.

Roaring with fury coursing through his veins, Kal ducked to the side to avoid the oncoming fist. Coming back to return a fist of his own to another one of their ribs, sending the reciprocate flying back. Hitting them so hard he could feel the satisfying crack of bone under the pressure of the impact. Leaving the lone soldier an opening for a jab of their own to the back of his abdomen, tearing a grunt of pain from his lips.

A scream came from further inside the building, one that clearly belonged to his Caterina.

Adrenaline surged through him, rearing his arm back, as he launched it into Halrim's face. All he could picture was his little kitten's face frozen in terror and Cole's fingers touching her. Groping what was meant to be Kal's alone, an act that earned him a bullet with his name on it. Kalayavan roared again, side-stepping another pathetic attempt from the recovering Sepireer.

Making him stubble past, the more experienced killer seized the moment to drive his elbow into the back of his head. The momentum of the blow propelling the nameless Relevent forward, back to the dirty stone floor.

Was this the best they had sent to babysit him?

Did the Table underestimate him that much or did they send all of these pathetic boys to die?

It didn't matter, not when the other one kicked out, his foot just missing Kal's heel. Allowing him to stomp down and cause the man's bone to shatter, leaving him crippled there on the spot. Cursing under his breath, he teetered off balance for a moment, but having the sense to step out of Halrim's reach to recover.
