Scale Number: 4 (After girls leave the dining room)

Kalayavan took a deep breath to calm himself, preparing to walk into the dinning room where the host family was sitting. Seemingly not having bothered to wait for their guest before starting to eat, almost half done with the food on their plates.

Elenor greeted him politely, followed by Sophia; whose eyes searched behind him for his smaller feminine shadow. Finally followed by Christopher, "Isn't your lovely lady friend going to join us?" He asked, probably already guessing he wasn't about to bring his woman around him or any of his employees more than he deemed necessary.

Walking over to the empty spot that he assumed was for him, next to the teenager, who smiled at him with a small amount of relief. Which was bizarre to him, the fact that this smaller human seemed to feel safer when he was around. What did that say about how secure she truly felt living under a man who was leading other scum worthy men.

"My fiancee, is going to rest for a little while longer," looking over the table as he emphasized 'my' to get the point across who she belonged to and that he wasn't pleased how he'd treated her. Even if he didn't know the exact words that were spoken. "Don't worry, Christopher, she's perfectly safe until I return to gather her."

This was something the Don had his word on, his woman was smart, she knew where his spare gun was in his bag. The one that he kept for her, since she couldn't fire his. He was confident enough that she could handle the humans until he could get to her. After all, she'd already killed a Relevent and was breathing to speak about it. How many humans alive could say that?

Kal then began to fill his plate, once he's tested enough, he would then fill it for Caterina, who was probably starving. Not an idea he enjoyed, but knew he would get her sustenance as soon as he was able.

The two ladies began to pick at the remaining food of their own, but the bastard at the head of the table wiped his mouth with his napkin. Even though it didn't look like he'd touched anything before setting it down next to his plate. "You're really going to keep calling her that? We both know a man like you doesn't settle down."

Putting a bite of poached egg in his mouth, he struggled as he chewed and swallowed. "I fail to see why I wouldn't if she is in fact the woman I plan to marry."

"Please," Christopher scoffed, "She isn't part of your kind of lifestyle. A lifestyle that doesn't really have room for love."

"Dear," Elenor said with a heavy sigh, peeling her gaze away from her own placement to make a silent gesture toward their daughter with her eyes

A look that caused an uncharismatic flash of irritation to flit across Christopher's face. He was a man in what he would call his prime, pushing forty-five, with stress lines in all the places that pinched. He had a touch of gray in his dark black hair, that he'd tried to die at one point. Despite the effort he put into his appearance he would always look like the rat-like of a man who hired the Sepireer all those years ago.

"Ladies, I'd like the room, Candace and Abby will carry your plates to the parlor." He ordered the nearest maids without actually speaking to them directly. As if he were above them, and their personalities weren't already twice the person he was. They were young girls, not even legal by human standards, each flinching slightly when he spoke their names, a clear sign this man had done something extreme to scar them so deeply. Making the killer want to throw his fork into the man's eye.

Despite the shocked look on Elenor's face, the girls complied and quickly lifted hers and Sophia's plates to whisk them off.

The teen shrugged and shot Kalayavan a look that said she was going to do something she probably shouldn't be doing. "I'm not hungry anyway, I'll see you at lunch." Her lilac skirt fanned around her knees as she went hastily from the room. A pit forming in the Relevent's stomach, knowing kids her age, no matter their species, were always up to no good, and with his woman left unattended, that wasn't ideal.
