Cat was walking over to the massive bed when her stalker finally came in, surprised when he hadn't forced his way into the shower again. However, his normal creepiness returned when he jerked his head toward the mattress, watching her flick the sheet back to cover herself. His eyes shining bright when she left her torso exposed, her nipples already hard peaks under the thin sports bra. Begging for the attention she'd expected under the spray of water.

"Everything good?" Licking his lips, he stepped up to the end of the bed, ready to climb up and attack her tits with all the attention they deserved. But her amused breath was the thing that finally stopped him, "Are you even listening to me?"

"Huh?" He focused on her face to pay attention to her next words.

Shaking her head, she giggled again, "Everything okay with your call?" Her question snapped him back to the reality outside of their bubble, reminding him that he'd just checked on their arrival tomorrow. Or at least, it's what he told her, there was no way to know if he was lying about anything.

He walked around the bed to the empty side, stripping down to his boxers. Loving the way his bareness warmed her skin, even if she would never admit it aloud. Scooting away from him subtly as he climbs under the covers as well, watching as he leaned back onto the headboard. Running his hands over his face, "There's something I need to tell you." When he didn't say anything immediately after, she lost her smile, "Don't worry, there is nothing to worry about." Quick to reassure her, "I just wanted to prepare you for when we reach Diamond tomorrow evening."

Diamond, the sector just before one passed into the southern continent, was the last place one could be without crossing the border.

Cat had never been this far South, hell, she'd only been out of Spades once, and it was the day she got married in Grandair.

He continued to talk, shocking her when he was far more revealing, "I just want you to know that these people we're going to go see, as far as anyone around us is concerned, I am their nephew. Not that you should have to worry about that too much, I don't plan on you running around with them. Not that I am trying to cause you any worry, it will be a place of safety; but in places like this, things can get a bit tense, quickly."

Something about the way he said it, she knew 'tense' wasn't the word that would fit this situation the best. And to keep her nerves from over reacting, she let out one of her soft laughs, mostly because she wasn't sure if she wanted to willingly walk into another dangerous situation. But there was one thing she was sure of, tilting her head back so she could gaze up into her stalker's eyes. "With you by my side, I'm pretty sure I don't have much to worry about."

The relief that washes over his face was immense, a clear sign that he believed her statement. "You have no idea how glad I am to hear you say that, because as far as 'my family' is concerned, you're my fiancee."

Her smile faltered for half a second, almost making his fear return, but she extinguished it again when she tilted her head to the side and she shrugged one of her shoulders. "I've been called worse," her expression makes him laugh.

Pulling her into him, he scooted them down into a lying position, reaching over to lick the light off. Leaving the only light coming from the cracked bathroom door, which he hadn't shut off before laying down. A fact that she was thankful for, "Time to get some rest." He stroked her hair, fighting his urge to rub other parts of her, "You're going to need it getting married into this family."

She shook her head on his chest, rolling her eyes at his ridiculous comment.

Laying there together, she allowed herself to drift into one of the best sleeps she's had in years and would probably have for a while.
