Slamming the black door shut, Toneri threw his gym bag on the floor and stomped into his penthouse. After work- he threw on the set he saved for basketball, instead, going to the gym for  a few hours. Then he sat in his car and played every popular heartbreak song he knew until it was unbearable.

Once Toneri left the office, he texted Kakashi saying he had a medical emergency and then made a phone call to Kabuto. The only thing that was going to truly mend the first day of a broken heart was a photo shoot.

The two haven't been working together lately - Kabuto had a tendency to ask a lot of strange questions as of recently- more about his coworkers. Toneri also had the feeling that Kabuto didn't have his best interest. At first the shoots were going good but now all Kabuto wanted to do is talk. It was as if he was delaying their work time. For what reason? He hadn't figured it out yet.

Kicking off his sneakers in the entryway; Toneri let out a long exhale, rolling his head, his shoulders and doing little arm stretches as he walked into his apartment. But the sight of his father sitting down on a lavish new leather couch in a fifty thousand dollar suit scared him to death.

"Jesus! Dad- what the hell you scared me."

Tenmu rolled his eyes. "You've been ignoring me son."

Proceeding to ignore the man, Toneri walked into the kitchen, grabbing a glass and filling it up with tap water from the sink. His father's stoic presence already clouded the room, "I've been busy at work."

Tenmu scoffed, "Busy with that pretentious dick head who bought me out of my spot?"

Before the sip could be swallowed- Toneri spit his water out in the sink- "He what?"

Finally Tenmu stood from the couch, stalking towards him, "You heard me. I'm out. Kakashi returned my investment and I was voted out of the board."

Suddenly Toneri didn't know where to look. Instantly feeling the fire of his father's gaze was enough to make him look down. But too much was on his mind to even care about feeling like shit from this guy. Kakashi buying Tenmu out was expected. He was asking for way too much all of the time. But it's a surprise that Kakashi wasn't taking it out on Toneri.

He kept his promise. No dad talk and no slacking.

Was he occasionally the most annoying and at times the most ignorant person on the planet? Yes. But Kakashi knew Toneri wasn't a bad person- despite having a terrible father.

Tenmu's voice raised as he berated the iconic Kakashi Hatake but Toneri tuned him out. Thoughts started spiraling.

Kakashi promoted Toneri less than two weeks ago. Things have been going really well...So that means-

"When did this happen?"

Mid rant he stopped, pale eyes surrounded by botoxed porcelain skin rolled, "Last week."

If there was one thing everyone knew about Kakashi, it's that he plans things out for a LONG time. Buying out Tenmu wasn't necessary. Really, Kakashi just spent 50 million to purchase 5% shares and a board seat back.

But he was keeping Toneri.

Tenmu watched as his son's eyes scoured the room, his chest rising and falling. It truly looked like a scene from a movie where a character is mentally cracking a big mystery. He didn't know where in the hell Toneri got his flamboyance from.
