Everyone was acting weird.

Hinata couldn't put her finger on it, or as to why, but something with everyone was just off.

It all started a few days ago at the nail salon...

Looking down at her fingers while she sat in the pink plush chair, Hinata knew what she wanted, and assumed her nail tech would begin to do her acrylics based on the reference photo she sent. It was festive, red french tips with some cute snowflake designs. But-

"Hina honey, are you sure you want to do this design?"

Her question came out concerned, as if Hinata was second guessing herself. "Yea you know I'm feeling the holiday vibes...why do you think it's ugly?"

In the parallel chairs were Ino, Ten Ten and Sakura, all looking quite...strangely between Hinata and her nail tech. "NO!" They all shouted. Hinata leaned back in surprise. Ino spoke first, nervous.

"It's not ugly at all it's just - well- you see-"

Sakura took over, "You got a festive design last month so maybe this month you should do something different."

Her nail tech nodded and smiled nervously, "Yes! Maybe a classic white french?"

"That sounds like a great idea!" Ten ten said, with an overly excited and persuasive tone.

Hinata pursed her lips and scrunched her nose, "Mmmm I'm not sure. You girls don't think that will look boring?"

"NO!" They all shouted again in unison. Causing some other clients to look at them in annoyance. Ino grimaced at them and Sakura stuck out her tongue. "A classic french would look so great on your hands Hina. Really I think you should go with that."

The other ladies agreed with rapid head shakes and wide eyes. "Okay..." she said suspiciously, "Classic French it is."

Towards the end of her set being complete, Hinata suggested potentially putting some festive nail art or stickers but again everyone shot down her ideas. The only thing they agreed to was a clear coat of glitter. Nothing else.

The next day, while at her fathers house, Hinata noticed that there were two luggages in the upstairs hallway. When she questioned her father about it, he seemed on edge.

"Are you taking a trip anytime soon?"

Hiashi looked into Hinata's eyes for one second and then immediately looked back down at his desktop computer. "W-what? No. I'm not taking a trip any time soon. Why would you ask that?" Hinata turned her head, severely shocked and confused at her fathers defensive tone. She nervously laughed, "I saw two luggages out in the hallway so I thought maybe-"

"No thoughts." He said seriously. "There is no reason to think any such thing Hinata. No trips and no thoughts."

With that she exited his office and closed the door behind her.
