For as classic as ringing a doorbell was, this time Hinata was terrified for what waited beyond such a barrier. The sound echoed loud, then it quieted. There was nothing. Until a figure surrounded by red opened the entrance with a big heavenly smile.
"You're here!!!"
Kushina instantly wrapped her arms around Hinata as if she was her favorite teddy bear. Nearly squeezing the life out of her. However, this was only the third time Hinata experienced one of these hugs. Each time she cherished more than the last- thats just impactful they were.
After their first meeting, Kushina & Minato were more than eager to learn more about Hinata. Some time after Jiraiya's birthday bash, the four reconvened for a nice dinner, where Naruto's parents were more than invested. Hinata Hyuga was an intriguing woman who was just so different from their son.
It's not that his parents were on the look out for flaws, everybody has something. Truly they just wanted to see Naruto & Hinata interact in front them, to understand the depths of this love spell Naruto had been under for more than a year.
When it came to anything related to Hinata, it's as if his entire aura changed. From the birthday party alone, Minato & Kushina were so shocked at this new found severe body guard behavior Naruto held for his beloved. However- he wasn't doing much explaining. And it seemed like Naruto was hiding a few things. What? They didn't know- and couldn't find out.
At least not on their own.
Learning that Tsunade knew who Hinata was & that she had a relationship to her, made Kushina feel a little left out. Her son didn't want to give away too many details about Hinata's life, or why they broke up the first time, and nor did Tsunade reveal much about her relationship with Hinata. It was as if they both found a hidden pot of gold, and didn't want anybody to touch it.
Trying to pry just a little bit, Naruto explained that Hinata is a very busy person who, at her core, is a care taker. Constantly she was described as this strong individual. Kushina knew strong meant that the person was going through something.
So now, the day has finally arrived for Kushina to learn all about the quiet beauty. And she couldn't be more elated.
Walking back into the expansive home during the day time held a completely different vibe. Instead of going into a private kitchen, Kushina led Hinata to the main kitchen, near the large cozy living room. The glass sliding doors on the left revealed pretty snow flakes descending slowly to the backyard. A warm fragrance touched Hinata's nose, causing her to look back at Kushina walking over to hand her a hot chocolate she made for her.
