𝟏𝟏. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭

A.N: I'm gonna be honest and say I struggled a lot writing this chapter out of the next five chapters. I don't know what it was but it's been 10 days and I try never to take longer than 10 days to update. FYI I might edit this chapter later if I still feel dissatisfied.

2 YEARS & 4 MONTHS AGO (May)
KONOHA CITY

The dining and living room of the Hyuga home is designed as an indoor outdoor experience. The entirety of the space is enclosed by floor to ceiling glass sliding doors. On the breezy evening of May 25th, a large group of family, friends, and business partners were at the wonderful Hyuga house to celebrate the graduation of Hiashi's first born: Hinata.

"Ino I think we've taken enough photos in this pose!"

Hinata had a hand on her hip and was smiling tightly for what seemed to be the millionth picture taken. "Okay but just move your arm like two inches to the left."

Sakura and Ten gasped, "Ino!"

Thankfully, the sound of the doorbell ringing interrupted the strategic angles Ino had planned for her best friend. Hinata ran through some guests and finally opened the door. However, her father beat her to it and the door was opening.

"Dad I told you I could get the door!"

Hiashi looked back at his baby girl and smiled. "It's alright sweetheart. It's your party I don't want you have to worry about it."

They turned their attention to the man who stepped in, a man who made her father smile and gave some sort of bro hug. He was tall, somewhere around 6'3? And he had on a nice white formal shirt, two buttons at the top not in the hole so just a very small sneak of his chest was exposed. A handsome man.

"Suguru! I'm glad you could make it! Come in."

He stepped into the entry way, embracing the older boss with generosity. Hiashi turned his head, "Hina, this is someone I want you to meet."

She walked over, stuck out her hand to which he greeted it firm warm and strong. "Suguru this is my daughter Hinata." Hiashi turned to his daughter, "Suguru is gonna help the company out with some abounded territories upstate. So you'll be seeing a lot more of him going forward."

"Are you planning to work for the business straight out of college?" He asked amused. Hinata giggled shaking her head, "No buuutt this is at its roots a family business so you'll definitely see me around."

The brief interaction ended and a 27 year old Suguru Geto sneakily took glances at Hiashi's first born, noting her attractiveness and subtle but still glowing personality. She didn't really look at him at all that evening, or really at all in the next year.

In the year that they've known each other, Hinata could admit Suguru was probably many woman's fantasy. He had that tall dark and handsome aura about him, but he wasn't her fantasy. Regardless of what everyone else tried to convince her.

Hiashi was no stranger to gatherings, however Hinata requested to not have a going away party when she was heading off to Kumo. But an intimate family dinner was held and some of Hiashi's business partners were in attendance for matters that couldn't wait any other day.

"That man likes you." Ino stated on multiple occasions. Hinata rolled her eyes, "Like is a pretty strong word." Ino's blonde head shook rapidly, "Hina, he looks at you but like he looks at you." All Hinata could do was laugh, but Ino kept on. "Don't be surprised if one day he makes a pass. I'm telling you Hinata, he has heart eyes for you."
